Allright..So the point is. We need clothes. TONS OF clothes. We dont want out fluffy butts in the same jumpsuit dont we? Why can't we have a bit of a small shopping and have ourselves a nice shopping, and atleast wear something for the heck of it and when on the break? Want to seduce the captain as a traitor but dont know how?!
Bitch effin please! Buy these sexy stockings with this red dress and seduce that mofo and kill him or make him dead with bad ERP!
Now back on track. The main reason why i made this thread is for people who are interested in wanting new custom items for the Aurorians.
You people can discuss with this thing of course and your ideas about this, and of course bring some links on what sort of wear you would like, Aurora, to have.
May the game begins.

Alium Deathtrap had a little clothes shopping center with clothes-vending machines. Might be a good idea for here.
Casual clothes would be fun, yo.

I've suggested this before.
I agree, entirely.

I'm a little iffy about this.
The reason why almost everyone gets in a jumpsuit, is to keep it uniformed to a degree, to keep it looking professional. I kinda don't want to see officers running around with Japanese school girl dresses, or something like that. Then again, custom fashion is fun! We have wardrobes, though. After you enter arrivals there's a changing room with lots of clothing choices.
Also, have fun getting someone to sprite and code all those clothes...

Sure, the jumpsuit does show the respect for your department and as a small requirement working in the exact department. But god damn it would be funny to see japanese security running around yelling "S-stop! B-baka!" Also i am preety sure some people can contribute to this idea and help me, and other people sprite/code.

Japanese officers in skirts acting all cute instead of acting all professional for their jobs.

I've switched jobs of Jasri due to the wave of redshirts who act like a horde of gorilla's.
Also, people are always making do with whatever items we can find, anyway, so we aren't all EXACTLY the bloody same.
Theres only so many combinations of hairstyles/facial hair and uniform.

Doesn't make sense that on a research station people would be allowed to walk around in dresses and skirts and jeans and all that jazz, NT loves their uniformity hence the jumpsuits, I believe this idea is taking is further away from RP and to the same kind of 'RP' that alium has.. not a big fan at all. Sorry Swat, -1

No, actually, certain people love the concept that NT loves jumpsuits.
In reality, I don't think that they give two shits.
You have people with insane haircuts, tons of clothing items all over the station, and all this nonsense, I sincerely doubt they actually give two buggers in space. If so, have all of the extra clothing options deleted, toolio~

Medical wear white jumpsuits in order to easily spot contaminants which could cause infection in patients. Science wear white jumpsuits to, again, spot contaminants such as plasma which could be dangerous. Security wear their jumpsuits to mark them out as Security so people don't interfere with business or so people know who to go to for help. Engineering wear their jumpsuits to mark them out as Engineering staff so people don't bother them when there's an emergency. The chef wears his clothes to prevent food cross-contamination.
The only people I could see using this would be a very select number of civilian jobs.

ARE YOU ALL FURGETTIN WHERE YOU ARE.
NSS Aurora. Emphasis on the "N". Nanotrasen.
I don't get it. SS13, and morea accurately relating to Aurora, is a game where you are on a space station where there are jobs to fulfill. Now, OUR little bit of SS13 is Nanotrasen Science Station Aurora. Let's ellaborate on that.
NSS Aurora. A station. A SPACE STATION. I don't see why people keep going out of their way to make it more and more and more civillian? It isn't. Its Nanotrasen's. Let's look at them for a while before we continue... NT. The people who have their name on half the stuff in the known universe, they are all about profit and plasma. Seriousness and business. Efficiency and productivity. So now this specific space station, Aurora, isn't just some space station. It's one of their top research stations, demmit. Researching plasma and blue space and all that stuff- and making them money. This is why NT would take things very seriously with this station. So serious they have their own emergency response team, and a big battle cruiser thing protecting them (don't quote me. I'm not a loremaster). The people on the station are expected to strive for efficient productive behaviour to achieve the goal they are there to accomplish- research. Yes, there are other jobs and departments but they ALL exist for science. Otherwise why is it there? For the fun of living in space? HELL NO.
Now, the only reason NT allows the few leisure activities available to the crew on Aurora is purely for human sanity. We aren't drones. And treating us as such will eventually result in uproars and cutting into profits. So yea, we have the odd arcade machine and a holodeck and stuff. But that's not why you are there. How I see the whole clothing situation is like this: You are expected to be efficient, and representing of one of the finest in high-tech research facilities floating around in space. As such, NT provides you with your own work-ready uniform/jumpsuit. This is to maximise efficiency, make us all look good as a team, and minimise clothing related security breaches (why do you think there exists such a thing as a ILLEGAL chameleon jumpsuit? And why is stealing a jumpsuit a tator objective?). The station isn't a fashion studio. You aren't being paid to be comfortable.
