SUBJECT: BLUESPACE BOARDING SYSTEMS
DATE UPLOADED: 13/06/2367
LAST DATE MODIFIED: 12/06/2367
The use of increasingly advanced anti-fighter systems has had an increasingly drastic effect on the survival rate of boarding parties using conventional boarding craft. With this several factions began looking into the use of bluespace teleportation to gain entry to inaccessible areas of hostile craft, in the year of 2293, after two years of rapid development, the Einstein Engines corporation began to manufacture the now-common teleportation technology.
Several different methods for bluespace based boarding have been developed, including the use of specialist torpedoes to act as teleport homers, the use of sophisticated triangulation arrays to target the ship’s hull or to override safety protocols and using the target ships bluespace engines or teleport pads as teleport homers.
As with all methods of ship boarding this does not come without risk, intense gravitational activity can cause disruptions to the fabric of bluespace along with intense energy discharges, meaning that during any conflict where gravitational systems are in use or such emanates from the local, or during such a time as significant amounts of energy is being discharged by atomic level detonations such as fissile or fusion bombs. This effect is also true for bluespace shielding, meaning that a ships shields must be disabled first before any boarding attempts can be made.
