After a long and heated discussion with various people, including Chris and Skull, I decided that this needs to be addressed.
What can security wear on Code green?

Just thought I'd put in my two cents for what its worth. I think the option should be there as security is a dangerous job and as you can see by police in the real world they wear it simply to protect themselves as well as to show they are prepared to protect themselves and others whether or not there is a direct and immediate threat. However in terms of RP it wouldn't make sense to have armor in your bag and have to put it on if someone decided to attack you because it would be bulky and awkward to put on in a dangerous environment. So to sum it up I would like the option to be there so that people can protect themselves while playing. I wouldn't class it as powergaming, it is just a policeman preventing himself from being wounded if he is suddenly in a dangerous situation. Thanks for reading and hope it makes sense. Timmato

Here's a point: the security vests are soft armour. They're stab proof. Security and police forces utilize such vests for normal, every day, STANDARD operation.

My viewpoint has been and always will be, at code green security should be able to wear their "armour" which honestly... yea is a stab vest and is in reality meant to protect from physical assault to the torso as well as knives and needles.
Helmets however should be kept off until code blue or if security have to force access to a department to apprehend a suspect or conduct a search.

Once upon a time I told this to some HoS, and he told me to fuck off and told me that he played here longer than I did so he knew better... And told me to remove my body armor when I said no. Of course I didn't, lol.

Security armour is a vest, not a metal slab infront of you. It's their to protect you from minor attacks, such as stabby stabs and wrenches to the stomach. It's standard uniform for on duty officers. As both Skull and Chris have stated, it's part of their training to act while wearing one. If a HoS says no, A)Listen to them, B)If you're that super tough guy who doesn't get afraid of anything, tell them to read SoP, C)If you can do it nicely, tell them how to SoP D)Possibly get admin intervention which will most likely resolve to being ignored or getting told it's an IC matter, deal with it and stop crying.

I mean I have no quarrels against it but I probably still won't wear it and just keep it in me bag

You may see cops wearing armor when they're out on patrol, but when they're in their precinct, or in a donut shop or something, they're not wearing a vest. I'd assume that might be considered a code green situation, where there's no danger expected. The pictures that Chris posted above show cops openly carrying weapons while wearing vests. That would be considered a code blue situation, because they're alert and prepared to defend against something. Code red would be when SWAT teams get sent in, decked in full combat gear.
