Good afternoon Aurorians. As of 08APR2014 the ERT concept has changed completely. The new information for which can be found here.
Mission Statement:
The Emergency Response Team is a highly trained team of personnel trained across three branches.
- Security and threat response
- Medical Response
- Emergency Engineering
Their role is to provide a constant emergency response availability to any NanoTrasen station or base within their operational area with a guaranteed response time of 20 minutes.
The Team:
Team Commander:
Identified by the unique hardsuit, and orange highlighted combat uniform and plate carrier.
The team commander is the boots on the ground senior officer or senior NCO in charge of completing the teams objectives and ensuring his teams safety.
Team Protection Trooper:
Identified by the red hardsuits, the team protection troopers are personnel highly trained in the use of firearms and close combat techniques to deal with any threat and ensure the teams protection.
Emergency Engineering Trooper (Sapper/Breacher):
The EE Troopers, affectionately known as Sappers or Breachers, are identified by their yellow/orange hardsuits. Their duties are to ensure the integrity of the station structure and to perform any engineering duties. They are all qualified in basic demolitions to get a team into any room.
Medical Response Trooper:
Identified by white hardsuits and/or medical equipment.
The Medical Response Troopers are capable of performing life saving First Aid in almost any environment. Their primary goal is to provide first aid to their team and to assist the stations medical department in an emergency.
Ranks:
Whilst technically a part of the civilian branch of operations the NanoTrasen Emergency Response Team use a ranking system to establish a clear chain of command. The ranks are as follows (In ascending order):
Trooper: The newest members of the team are known as the troopers. They have been with the team anywhere from a year to five years. (Colour: Green)
Leading Trooper: Once they have managed to prove themselves the best troopers, hand picked by their commanders will be promoted to Leading Troopers. Leading Troopers are responsible for standard response teams, sizing approximately 4 troopers. (Colour: Blue)
Sub-Officer: Senior members of the team qualified to take the role of commander, but not in command of their current squad are denoted as Sub-Officers and take up secondary command roles. Sub-Officers are responsible for detachments sizing multiple teams.(Colour: Red)
Commander:(ADMIN SPAWN ONLY)The highest ranking person on a team. There is one team commander per detachment. (Colour: Gold/Orange)

Casualty Evacuation - Can move critical casualties back to CentComm for treatment.

Uniforms

A camouflaged combat uniform consisting of combat trousers and a UBACS combat shirt. Designed for combat operations and hard suit use.
Daily Working Uniform (DWU)
Non-Camouflaged uniform designed for day to day work not involving combat/security operations, or operations not involving hard suits. Consists of trousers, shirt and jacket.
