Four crewmen awake in cells across from each other, dazed, confused, and wounded (to the extent of one of them possibly missing a hand). They have no idea where they are or how they got here, until a voice crackles over the intercom.
"Welcome, welcome! I've decided to let you out, little flies, so you may participate in some.... Tests for me. If you can escape, you have earned your freedom... But if you cannot, you will be subject to pain unending. Do not dissapoint me..."
The cell doors rattle open, and the crewmembers stumble out in to the darkened hallway. Each of them has an item- one has a flashlight, another has a medkit, yet another has a crowbar, and the last one has a gas mask and oxygen tank. Determined to get out of here alive, the crewmen must work together... Or try to pilfer their compatriots much needed items.
As the group progresses through the dark facility, they come under attack from genetically twisted monstrosities (controlled by players). They also witness the grizzly aftermath of countless operations and experiments, and are continuously taunted by the voice over the intercoms. Over the course of their journey, the crewmen may even learn what happened here...
(The general idea of this event is to kind of project a survival horror atmosphere. Four "normal" players square off against the mad scientist (an admin character) and his legion of genetic experiments (mobs and altered humans controlled by players). The map could simply be the normal station with modifications made to the rooms (mainly by turning them in to rudimentary labs), so as to avoid an incredibly long setup. As for the possibility of a murderfest, the monster's objective is not to kill- it is to capture. To do so, they must incapacitate a crewman and drag him/her back to their cell. This would prevent a murderfest and likely create a feeling of real dread when fighting the pursuing beasts.)
Just an idea! Feedback and criticism is welcome!
