During an arrest, do not use uneeded force or resources towards non-hostile suspects. If they are showing hostile behaviours, do not use force unless needed. Attempt to talk to them, convince, and restrain with minimal violence. If they are brandishing a weapon or making hostile actions, force is always advised, but should no be a first choice.
Firstly, remove any and all civilians and non-suspects from the general area, and make sure no one comes into the area until the hostile issue is cleared, whether being a terrorist threat or a infestation of spiders.
Secondarily, do not confront an issue you may be ill suited towards. Take trust and defence in your fellow officers, and if needed, obtain a proper means of dispatching the threat. Report to your superiors before entering the situation, as this will warn them of your location, in case your attempts fail.
Tertiary, your suit sensors can save your life in these situations, while not enforced, keeping them set to their maximum settings can alert medical if you are left in a poor state.
Once you have a suspect within a cell, be sure to clean the entirety of their possessions and have them placed inside the secure locker. Upon good behaviour, it could be advised to allow them access to basic items such as a PDA, pen and paper, etc.
Changing their current uniform into the standard one is not specifically advised, as it serves no actual purpose. However, if they are to be moved into the permanant holding cell, this is advised. If they are being fired, as well, for their crimes, giving them the orange uniform to return after a visit to the changing room is advised.
Please be advised not to leave prisoners in past their sentence, and to set the sentence as soon as they are inside the cell, in order to minimize extra time inside their cells. As well, be sure to make sure the suspects and prisoners are still safe inside their cells. If possible threats towards them exist, keeping them in the permanent wing for their sentence may be ideal.
