Just some writing I want to keep adding that could be used in game if you like. I am a HUGE fan of the WipEout games and I want to do some writing on it. I always imagined that because of the huge population span of the universe, sport would carry over the galaxy. This story/creative writing is going to be about the racing league "F12000" I will add to it when I get home in half an hour. So, yeah... watch this space :3

F12000?
That name reminds me of the F2000. Clever.
Unless, if that wasn't your goal...

The birth of the Anti-gravity engine.{open <--}In the dawn of the upcoming space age, engineering became more complex. With all of this new technology, it did not only lead to the development of new practical devices, vehicles, space stations etc; It also opened up new doors in the entertainment industry. As the possibilities of space travel grew bigger, engines became more faster and efficient. Races such as F1 racing started to use bigger engines, making the races faster and require more skill in hand eye coordination. Because of the higher speeds and the quick interest from the public, it soon led to more bigger and complex circuit tracks being built all around earth. In the year 2068, a south African scientist 'Dr Charl Odoma Abbot' saw the development of bluespace research as an open door to new developments in making space more habitable for humans. He quickly started work with his team of 400 researchers in developing gravity systems for the interstellar space vessels that were being manufactured later that year.
Finding revolutionary theories of artificial gravity conencers, it also gave birth to new concepts of anti-gravity. By reversing the way his generators worked, he and his team were able to 'levitate' small objects such as paperclips, pens and other small objects. As his Gravity condensers started gaining the ability to keep down larger objects such as people, his anti-gravity generators did as well. By August 12 that year, his small research team had grown into a small enterprise known as 'Abbot Re-n-De'. They continued to produce station and ship Gravity drives and even started work on home consumer products. But, his secret project of anti-gravity technology was his real interest, constantly paying into the researching bonds. By the year 2071, he was able to lift whole crafts off of the ground in a safe and feasible manner.
After his grand showcase of this technology in July 7'th, one man took grate interest and had many ideas for Charl's tech. French entrepreneur and businessman 'Félix Duguay' CEO of 'Rapidelisse', a car and engine manufacturing industry, bought shares in 'Abbot Re-n-De' and the rights to his anti-gravity generators. Eight years of silence pass, nothing is heard of Félix or 'Rapidelisse'. Then, in 2078, news of a new craft hits the network as Félix debuts the 'R-alpha', a sleek vehicle that uses two plasma engines as propulsion, many wingtips and flaps for steering, and a highly modified anti-gravity engine. Reaching speeds of over 800kph in under thirty seconds, the public and press were instantly sold. Quote from the first ever pilot of the R-alpha "I could'z have tried to go faster, but I could feel le exhaust anz engine heat melting my helmet visor."
All over the globe, vehicle manufacturers flocked to Félix, some with extreme sums of money, others with spies and sabotage. They all wanted to know the secrets to his new prototype. One year later, 'Rapidelisse' started releasing their new cars, all fitted with anti-grav engines. Globally, governments were forced to adapt roads and road laws to this new technology. Soon after this, companies from around the world soon started to come out with their own anti-grav engines and vehicles and so started the new market, developments and increase in demand.

I'll keep adding whenever I feel like it, but here is an intro and some back story. Once back story is out the way I can write up some races in detail.

Oh, and someone tell me if this back story is stepping on anyone's toes. It's just something I'm coming up with with our lore timeline open in the background for reference.
Feel free to comment! I've not really written up my own stories, just kept them in my head. First time I'm letting them out to people :3

"In the year 2068, a south African scientist 'Dr Charl Odoma Abbot' saw the development of bluespace research"
"Eight years of silence pass, nothing is heard of Félix or 'Rapidelisse'. Then, in 2029, news of a new craft hits the network"
Not sure if the dates were intentional but thought I'd point it out just to make sure.

Before the race, George Liddle's mind.{Click <-}Deep breath in, deep breath out. Let my mind rest. Okay… this is not working. How could it work? My mind is racing. My breathing is fast and heavy, just as my heart. All I can hear is the muffled roars of the thousands… no, millions of people all waiting for me. The faint sounds of engines revving make my skin crawl and tremor, knowing that soon I will be going faster than most people will ever go in a lifetime.
God I’m a wreck. My pit crew can tell. I see it in their eyes. They show sympathy towards me, for I am sure they will never have to have these feelings of anxiety, fear but also excitement. I know my daughter is watching me. She always watches my races. “Give them a show” she will tell me. “Always”, I will reply. We all have to give them a show. People feel that racing is about winning, but it’s all about giving people that thrill. I look over to the wall to my left. I know that not two feet away from that wall is another just like me… feeling what I feel, knowing the risks we’re about to take. We are meant to be enemies, but in a way I feel closer to them than anyone could.
One minute has been called. One minute until we will ascend onto the track. The crowd continues to call out our names, music playing so loud that it makes the ground tremble. I see my crew chief hand me my helmet. I see his lips move, but I can’t take in his words. All I can make out is, “Good luck.” Looking round the dimly lit room, I can see tools laid out in an organised mess. Spare engine parts scatter the floor and walls, shining to what little light is down here.
Thirty seconds. This minute has felt like an hour, time is going as slow as my heart continues to rush. The sounds of jet engines spluttering to life make me want to leap out of the cockpit, but how can I now? My life has been lead up to this one point. I’m finally here, living my dream. How can I not smile? This rush is what I live for. Ever since I was a child, I remember coming to see the races. I can remember the sound of the crowds exploding around me. I can remember the calls of the engines as they screech and growl. I remember seeing the complex beasts zipping past us so fast that our eyes can only see a blur of colour. But, what I can really remember is the smells. A mix of mouth-watering smells from the food stands all lined with snacks and meals. Corndogs were my favourite. I would always rush straight over to them before even looking for our seats.
I open my eyes and I am back here, in the cockpit of a monstrous machine. She sleeps for now, resting on the metal suspension buffers while a team of men crawl over her. No one knows the inside of her better than them. From the inner spaghetti of pipes and valves, to the sleek and smooth outer skin that shimmers like a star. While others see them as clusters of metal, I see them as living things. They yearn for the track, and so I will give it to her. When I treat her with respect, she will show it back to me.
Ten seconds now. Ceiling shudders as it slides apart, beaming light down into the dark and dingy workspace. It blinds me at first but I let my eyes get used to its power before slamming my helmet over my head. This is it. I watch as my crew step back, gazing upon their work. I start her up, listening to her loud splutters and purrs as she shudders to life, wobbling from side to side as she dances to the flames of her engine. We slowly appear up onto the track, sights that would cause anyone to giggle with excitement. The colours, the lights, the sounds. All to me are just one big blur. All I can see is the track, and the racers.
I look over to my left. I am met with an empty stare of a helmet visor. I am unable to tell what they could be thinking. Are they just as scared as I am? Am I just over reacting? I stare back, unable to move. All my feelings of doubt were washed away as they gave me a small nod. I smile, even though they can’t see my face and nod back. Only we know these feelings, no one else. I look back towards the starting line, god my heart won’t stop just for a moment. I hold my breath and tighten my grip as I see the countdown begin. This is it, this is it… lets race.
George Liddle is now (in game time) the CEO of "Liddle Lamb" a plasma engine and racing company. He has a genetically grown daughter called Kimberly. Genetically grown because one, he cant keep a relationship down for too long... and two, he wanted her to be everything like the girl in his mind. Look out for her IC :3

F12000 - Current active teams as of: 2455
{Rapidelisse}{Rapidelisse}Founded all the way back at the birth of AG Racing (Anti-gravity), 'Rapidelisse Manufacturers' still host and race in many events. With their head of the pack racers, they are always in the top three positions, mostly first when it comes to racing.
{Apex Engines}{Apex Engines}This long running company first started racing in 2412. A high producer of Plasma Drive engines, their funding was used wisely in advertisements and stock shares. This mid-pack racer has not won any major titles as of yet.
{Liddle Lamb and CO}{Liddle Lamb and CO} The yongest company in the F-Racing league was first created by the racing legend 'George Liddle'. This company was founded after the stock crash that caused his past racing benefactors to go under. Picking up where they left off, he took half of the past company under his wing. Now alongside their well built engine manufacturing plants, Liddle Lamb races where ever and whenever they can.
{Joker Industries}{Joker Industries}This large Industrial Company mostly holds shares in clothing, music, gaming and merchandising manufacturing. With a target audience of younger population, they push a lot of their advertisement to the track with logos, holographic advertisements and publicity stunts. To other racers, they are referred as the 'attention whores' of racing and are largely disliked for their reckless driving and lack of loyalty.
{Omnicorpal Megadrives}{Omnicorpal Megadrives}This secretive company was founded soon after the infamous race that caused many companies to get shut down due to illegal acts and violations against the F-Racing league. Rumours say that they have close ties with NanoTrasen, who has been ban from entering the F-Racing league. This may only be a Rumour though...
{Hondano}{Hondano}This long running company has re-entered the F-Racing league after over two hundred years. The company was passed down three generations since then, and is now at is golden era of marketing. They closely follow the ways of their ancestors who founded the company over 500 years ago on earth, Japan. -I'll add more when I have the time. Feel free to suggest some companies! Just make sure that their not going to mess with the lore timeline, or are over powerd.-
