I vote for sticking to Red. NanoTrasen strikes me as the kind of corp that keeps its employees in line with fear and therefore, red seems like the approprite choice. That's the issue. Nanotrasen isn't a corporation. It's a government. It has final say in law and anything else they desire on the land/stations they own. They are the ones in charge. The entire issue, is, nanotrasen isn't a single dictator, it's made of a bunch of people. So, by logics grace, they would go for the most intelligent choice, IE, being seen as the good guys. And to be frank, the red is fucking ugly.

They are still a corporation, albeit a big one. Most corps hire intimidating mercs to be guards on their billion credit space station.

See, the difference between a policing force, and a Merc, is that Merc's are used in situations when violence is a must. Security is not meant to be violent without reason. If Security were Merc's, they'd be beating heads in for the smallest things. That is how mercenaries work. Moreover, Mercanaries do not work for a single orgnanization, they are hired out through this and that, or work 'freelance' as they call it. If they are working for a single governing body, they are soldiers, not Mercs. And no, they are not a corporation. Once a group has control of a entire area, including laws, trading, etc, they are a governing body. If they were a corporation, someone would be above them. But we don't have space police. We have security. And this is the issue. People don't seem willing to call NT a goverment, but thats WHAT they are. Corporations are: a company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law.
A Goverment is: the system by which a nation, state, or community is governed.A corporation can only exist if something is above it, dictating what it can and can not do.

No, the police is owned by a government. NanoTrasen 'security' is security. I do get sick of sec officers who forget this and try to police the station. They are basically space mall cops with a very expensive shop to protect... and... it is in space.

I would go with blue, it seems more like what NT would do to me, they would like to keep their employees compliant, fearful employees are rebellious employees.

They are basically space mall cops with a very expensive shop to protect... and... it is in space. Once again. NT is not a company anymore. It is a Goverment. a company or organization had Io exist under a Goverment. There's nothing above NT. NOTHING. They wrote the law. Thus, Goverment. And they do police the station. Their job is to uphold the law. That's in their game description when you start. They are a policing force. Do you people just hate the police or something?
