The newest update requires an update to the pager, at 5.00. For me and many others, 4.99+ has fucked over the CPU usage, so it's physically impossible to start the pager up anymore.
There is no public fixes for this, except to downgrade which isn't feasible currently, seeing as it downgrades to around 4.7.
So, until I can find out a fix, which will take anywhere from an hour after posting to, this never, I won't be able to play.
So, just in case, goodbye guys.

Well, my four year old netbook can't handle next to any CPU usage. I literally have to play Starbound on a school computer, that being a Mac.

Start it up, Ctrl+alt+delete, set CPU affinity to one core, it may help. Setting the priority to below normal may also help.

That would explain why my computer eats cock and such when I try and open beyond. It tells me it is using like 90% of my processing power.
