I'm positive this was old apollo rule anyway, but HOS and captain are not viable antags because they spawn with a loyalty implant, meaning that it's impossible for them to be a syndicate member. More to the point, no one even thinks that the antag is the fucking two most well equipped people on board, as they are the two you should always be sure are trustworthy.
Unless this rule has changed, I think we really need to stop having antag HOS and captain. It's just...not fair.

Its not neccessiarily the admin teams fault or something they can deal with though other than remove them from antag if they get it. Or for players to turn traitor off.
It is something within the code of the game. I will put something up in the dev forums but the way I have always looked at it - Hacked Implant, its doable. Honestly...? If its roleplayed right then I don't see why not let HoS/Captain be traitor.

This has never been enforced as a rule here, and never been told as one. Just assume the implant has been corrupted by the Syndicate.

That means that you cant EVEN TRUST the captain and head of security, because the loyalty implant doesnt mean anything. Moreover, its two jobs that have access to guns and nearly full clearance. that means almost no one would suspect them unless they wave their syndicate willies in your face.

Problem with captain/HoS traitors is that they're often extremely boring in completing their objective. Since they have infinite access, and supreme authority, it's nearly impossible to get caught unless they go for masses of style points. And, of course, winning is far more important than style to some people.

But perhaps it should be, considering the prominence of captain antags, and how...pointless it feels when i'm almost positive its the captain but i dont have proof because its the captain and he doesnt have contraband, because he doesnt need it. im still stupid, but this is stupider.
