Hello gents! As you may know, October is my favorite month, and Halloween my favorite holiday. There's a certain spirit in the air, a kind of feeling that one should do something scary. And I'm also a big fan of the horror events on this server, as of course all of you know as well. So, I decided I'd whip up a little something in my spare time. I give to you, (only partially done) my Halloween Horror Event Marathon! I've divided it in to two categories thus far, each category containing three events that go with the theme of said category. The whole idea is to emulate an old, crappy, campy and semi-hilarious horror movie. So expect Dean to go looking for Emilia in the maintenance tunnels with just a lighter, or Sarah Jane-Tool to wander out of her dorm room without a shirt on and get axed, etc etc. Each event has a title and a tagline, further emulating a movie.
CATEGORY #1: SLASHER
"Fright Club": Strange men come to the station after slashing Tcomms. Wearing an assortment of masks and wielding axes, hatchets and butcher knives, the members of the 'Fright Club' seek to kill the crewmembers in the most gruesome ways possible. The more elaborate and gory the kill, the more 'style points' a club member gets. Round ends when all the club members have been killed or forced off the station, or all the crew members have been killed.
Tagline: "The first rule about Fright Club is never talk about Fright Club."
"The Hunt": The crew has awoken from a drugged sleep on a badly damaged and decrepit station. Naked and without ID cards, the crew struggles to reorient themselves, but it soon becomes apparent that they are being hunted by a clandestine group of gentlemen. Armed with bear traps, crossbows and harpoons, these men are out for a good bit of sport- and nothing will stop them. Now the crew must use ingenuity to defeat the vastly advantaged Hunters, or die like animals. Round ends when all Hunters have been killed or forced off the station, or when all the crewmembers have been killed.
Tagline: "Bloody Good Sport!"
"Night of the Clown": The station has been struck by a strange shuttle. Upon investigation, the shuttle doors open and a scourge of clowns climb out! Armed with acid-spraying flowers, a H.O.N.K. mech, bottles of space lube, and fire axes, these performers are a force to be reckoned with. Round ends when all clowns have had their bodies completely destroyed, or when all crewmembers have been killed.
Tagline: "HONK!"
CATEGORY #2: OCCULT
"Cult of the Deep One": A sleeping Elder God of immense power is entombed inside the blood-red rock of Aurora station's mining asteroid. When the crew is called to investigate the appearance of an atmosphere of breathable air on the 'roid, they stumble upon the sprawling compound of the Cult of the Deep One, fanatical worshippers of the Eldritch horror who wish to awaken the sleeping god. The crew realizes they are the only ones who can halt the ritual and save the universe, and they race against time to get to the center of the compound and halt the ritual of awakening before it's too late. Round ends when the ritual is stopped, or if the ritual is not stopped in time, or if all crewmembers are killed.
Tagline: "IT AWAKENS!"
"The Summoned": Two powerful wizards have summoned the ancient demons Umim and Thumim. The wizards, along with their new pets, teleport to the station and unleash the monsters among the crew. Umim and Thumim are immensely powerful, and are physically indestructible- their only weakness being a physical link to their summoners. The only way the crew can hope to best these foes is if they manage to find the wizards and kill them- and hope the demons don't run in to them along the way!
Tagline: "They hunger!"
"It Came From Beyond": Deep in the bowels of the station, a portal to the Void is opened. From this tear in reality comes the mystical Voidstepper, a superpowerful being imbued with demigodic strength and supernatural powers. It has come from beyond the bounds of space and time to drag one chosen crewmember to the depths of the void and sate Nar'Sie's endless hunger, and it will kill anyone who gets in it's way! Round ends if the crew manages to defeat the Voidstepper, or if the Voidstepper succeeds in taking it's target back to the Void alive.
Tagline: "He's here to drag you to hell!"
