It needs close contact to a security ID.
Hitting security officers in the crotch with it will open it.

What is your opinion on TF2 and all things valve. Also, why do we not have a medi-gun in game. Also, why is this being taken to no points of seriousness Also, more tf2 gifs because i enjoy these heavily

Played TF2 for a year or two, stopped after I got too ragey at Snipers. Fuck snipers. Fuck the Oz entirely, Snipers made me hate them. Even fuck Oswald, whose name reminds me of Oz and therefore Australia and therefore Snipers. Fukken snipers yo.
Also, because lazy developers.
Also, because doge.
Also, boink.

CHANGING THE SUBJECT! Which Elder Scrolls game was y'all's favorite? Mine was Oblivion, because it was the first I played and was damn hardcore.

Aw, shit. I've, sadly, never got around to playing Morrowind, and the earlier ones are.. y'know.. soo..
Shoot me, but, I have to say Skyrim. Skyrim seems to be filled with more content, and more vibrant and dynamic surroundings. The main story sucks, but, I can say the same about Oblivion. The atmosphere, especially after it's modded, is pretty beautiful, and I'm not just talking about graphics. The dungeons are just.. so much better, they're actually, like, appealing in some respect. I didn't like Oblivion dungeons. The combat system just simply has more. The modding community is obviously younger and less filled than Oblivion, but with Steam Workshop and better development tools, Skyrim is racing ahead. OVERALL SCORE: WHO THE FUCK CARES I JUST LIKE TO PLAY THE VIDEO GAMES / 10
edit: Also, important point. I don't want to compare the graphics of two games with decent age gaps between them, but, holy shit. In Skyrim, not everyone has a horrifying monster-face. Tajarans, man. tajarans.

CHANGING THE SUBJECT! Which Elder Scrolls game was y'all's favorite? Mine was Oblivion, because it was the first I played and was damn hardcore. Daggerfall, and I'm not a big fan of that. Disliked Ob and Skyrim. They're weak in pretty much every aspect unless you mod the fuck out of them. Their lore is okay-ish, and the worlds are hella huge, but that's about it. I find the games buggy to hell, unbalanced, unpolished, regularly jarring, unimmersive... They boil down to 'Follow quest marker, talk to guy, follow quest marker, do dungeon, talk to guy, follow quest marker...' which in my book isn't RPG gaming. Dragonfights were neat when they didn't bug-out, but unless the game was at a rare point of feeling fairly balanced, they were either cakewalks or forced attrition-style tactics. Enemy difficulty is increased by just giving them unrealistic amounts of HP, leading to combat wherin a dude can be walloped with a power-attacking enchanted flaming masterforged greatsword wielded by a berserking orc warrior fifteen times before dying because he's a Bandit Outlaw rather than a Bandit Highwayman, because increasing difficulty is harder than assigning arbitrarily higher numbers of HP. I was expecting an RPG that'd blow my mind away by the reviews, instead what I got felt lazy and badly designed. It's got great points, sure, but I don't feel like they redeem it (the 'Hangover' quest was awesome). Blegh. I just don't like 'em. Mods do some things to adjust these things, but eh. Fallout 3/New Vegas were alright, because the game engine is far more suited to an FPS than melee combat (and I love the Fallout setting that they pulled off nicely), but they also suffer from the same issues. Honestly, other than being really really big and time-consuming, they don't have much going for them. /blasphemy

TES:Arena was by far the best game in the series. 2026 graphics, huge open world, no fast travel, endless quests, stellar voice acting, so forth.
XCOM:Interceptor and Arena are by far jewels of this time period.

Necro'ing this thread just so I can tell Voltage that he is terribly, terribly wrong, and that even joking about something like that is evil and crosses a line.

I'm super late to the party! Honestly, my favourite ES game is morrowind. Directions! Not quest markers!
