In current ic times, Rai has been somewhat...let's use the phrase "fucked like a chicken in a KFC processing facility" due to some genetic issues with a bad cloning job, due to her fleeing halfway before being finished and mauling a few people.
Now, because of this, she's gonna die. Well, if she doesn't take any action. But, of course she is.
So, what should I do? Should I have her go through some overly complicated genetics fuckery, and have her try and stop her own death?
Should I let her die and leave the character in the grave?
Should Rai replace her lady bits with man bits again, along with fixing herself in some process as said firstly?
Should I be even stupider and have her swap her brain into someone else's body, so she can escape death?
Or, should I just make her an IPC.
Or do something even more ridiculously stupid?
I know most people couldn't give a space carps fart about Rai, and some even hate the character, but I'd like some assistance. I honestly don't know myself. So, yell at me and tell me things. Or tell me to kill her off and do nothing but play Jasri. I don't know~
Seriously, feel free to leave a message about how much you hate me. Just some feedback would be nice. I'd appreciate it~

Let's go shoot stuff down! Because IPC stands for Integrated Positronic Chassis, it is impossible for her to become one. As simple as that, because there exists no way to convert the electro-chemical reactions taking place in the brain over to binary functions and electrical impulses, those that take place in a Positronic brain. Further more, loss of the brain itself would result in a loss of the "topography" that makes Rai -- the actual structure of the brain changes as more personality and traits are gained, lost, etc.
Now, on the actual subject, whatever you do with your character, I would like to emplore you to do one thing: either do it ingame, or as the direct result of ingame interaction. Specially if you're going with death. Character death means absoloutely fuck all if it's conducted as a random blurb posted on the forums, and so does most other character development, backstories excluded.
DISCLAIMER: Yes, I am a complete and utter buzzkill. But I'll be damned if I don't have a reason behind it.

If I pick death, Rai will at one point inform the rest of the crew, after some hefty screams and admin inflicted damage, that her organs have begun to shut down and she's probably got a few hours left, or so she guesses. She will then attempt to hold a funeral for herself, and sit in the chapel with whoever comes and tell her entire life story, before downing some chemical concoction and saying her goodbyes and handing her coat off to someone she thinks will keep it safe.
And damn it, I forgot about IPC stuff. Butts.

It'd be interesting if, as Rai's body was shutting down, some quack geneticist clever Nanotrasen employee found a genetic backup of Rai as Raieed, and decided rather than put the poor genderswapped soul back in their proper body, they make a clone off of the male backup, uses it to complete/fix Rai's DNA, and then plants fake memories into them both; that they are Raiana and Raieed, twin siblings. I figure this 'new' Raieed would probably be completely different from the original...

Actually, Mik, Raieed may be alive. Supposedly.
During the events that got her killed, which was during an attempt to pay ransom for Nikolai (Long retired, now piloting a space ship and shipping cargo about, as was his dream) after being captured by some...unpleasant folks, no one actually saw her die, but only presumed so because of the events that occurred (Which I will leave to be found out icly or not at all, damn it). Since Rai was the last time she was backed up, they cloned her upon Nikolai saying she was dead, and she then proceeded to do the events on my custom item whitelist.
I've not had a single idea about whether or not I'll leave that as some concept in Rai's head or the actual truth, however.
