Hello! I'm new here, I don't really know how to explain this effectively but I'll try.
On the Space Station 13 server hosted by Purlek they have a tab in the A.I. menu which allows the A.I. to simultaneously hear every channel at once. Additionally if you are the A.I. and you type ":c" or ":s" you get to the respective channel. I feel like this would be a good implementation because switching between the station comms. is rather inefficient, an example of this would be if you are tuned to "135.1" and post on that channel accidently that theres a raging fire in Engineering and then you have to go back to the A.I. core and tinker with the station comm. to "135.7" "135.3" or "145.9" respectively. Which is... frustrating and a waste of time during a critical event.
Just a suggestion, let the powers that be do what they will.

Yep, yep, yep, this is a very good idea, I find myself wishing I had more intercoms to mess with when I am AI, and this would solve that problem completely.

I feel like the only drawback of this would be if you get someone who plays A.I. a bit to OP and ruins the fun.

Perhaps it can be coded in to the point where simply swapping the active channels is easier, and done through presets, but still limit you to monitoring 3 at once?

Me has idea (dunno how hard this'd be to code but I can imagine it working like this I suppose?):
Have a tab for the player playing AI that reads "communications" and it contains the "channel interface". This interface would be like the access console, you know, red = active, blue = inactive, only with hearing channels. And only allowing 3 at once. So if I click security, medical and command, then feel like clicking engineering- security goes off.
Think that'd be goot.
