I'm currently hosting a witches chess server and probably will be every chance I get. You'll find behind the portrait and name of the Lumpy Space Princess.
You have been humbly invited to take part in a multiplayer battle of wits against fellow humans in the popular fashion of Chess.
If normal Chess does not interest you, or if you are one of our honored Witch guests, you may instead take a short trip to the Witches' Domain, where things are not what they seem, and your opponents will use powerful spells to make you submit to them. Of course, use of your own magic is permitted, as well.
It would be an honor if you would join us and demonstrate your intellect and cunning.
If you're interested, please come on in and you'll find me in the Witches' Domain. Open up the client and then refer back to here, where presently I'll explain how to make use of your many magical talents and beautiful spells within the context of the game.
In the upper right corner of the game you'll see 3 symbols. From right to left: An X, this button returns you to the space between worlds so that you may choose to enter the either the Witches Domain or the Lobby. Next you'll see a question mark. This button provides you with information, including a link on how to play chess in case its your first time, and instructions for how magic works in this particular domain. I'll make use of that section in this forum post as the text on it is rather small and you might wish to read it here instead.
And finally, you'll see a golden butterfly. If you click this, you'll be presented an interface in which you can change your persona, or name and portrait. Here you can change a few settings so that the game pings you when an opponent makes a move. Further below, is where you can choose how you gain magical power, from the four options presented, and further below you may select spells from your magical compendium and bring them with you into the game. Simply click a spell to see its description, but have no fear, even while playing you can still witness the spells description, so don't get hung up on memorizing them all at once.
Witches' Chess is a variant of normal chess which incorporates the use of Spells, which change the way the game reacts and is played at times. Spells are meant to add a new level of strategy and prediction to the game, which you will come to understand as you play more games and find yourself figuring out what your opponent's spells are.
When playing Witches' Chess, there are a few simple things to keep in mind. Since most spells that can be cast in the game will manipulate the board and pieces, please understand the following guidelines:

When playing Witches' Chess, there are a few simple things to keep in mind. Since most spells that can be cast in the game will manipulate the board and pieces, please understand the following guidelines:
- You can select your Spells that you want to use in Preferences. You can only use up to 4 Spells at once.
- Casting Spells requires Magic Power, which is gained through one of the several settings chosen in Preferences. Each activation of that condition will increase your MP by one.
- Spells can only be cast during your own turn. Click on their names in the top right magic panel to use them.
- Your opponent/observers won't know which spells you cast unless they have obvious effects. (Such as Familicide).
- For the purposes of Check, Checkmate, and Stalemate, they only come into play during the beginning of the next turn. However, it is possible to Check yourself by accident with Spells; Magic comes with risk.
- In the case that you are in Checkmate or Stalemate after casting a spell, the game will end immediately before you make a move.
- In the case that your opponent is in Checkmate after you cast a spell, you must still make a legal move, although you are permitted to maintain the Checkmate if you can.
