All good and great...
BUT
It is no use at all in its current form.
While we like all +1 most of the suggestions, we dont know whether staff is working on it or no.
I would like the thread titles to be set for something like [accepted] [on queue] [rejected]
Also, some suggestions should appear as a link from the ingame Welcome text, maybe?

Most of the time I have no idea on if something is accepted or not, so I have no idea if it is worth coding up. The title change would help, and maybe a thread in the development section where the devs can post what they are working on, or access to this forums so we can change the titles based on how far we are though with implementing it.

The suggestion board itself wasn't created to give work as demanded for developers. It was to voice what the community wanted and developers could take on what they would see fit. The board is more for discussion of ideas rather than confirmed tasks. However if the community would like something in place, this can be given.

Pump, the thing is, the suggestions board was for PLAYERS to decide what gets coded, not developers.
We made it this way, because the way you're suggesting is the way Apollo worked. And the whole idea of us leaving was so the community could be an actual community.
And Viking isn't suggesting that the players be able to demand things be developed. He's asking for a way for the players to know if the developers are working on it, or if they think it's not worth working on.

And the whole idea of us leaving was so the community could be an actual community. And Viking isn't suggesting that the players be able to demand things be developed. He's asking for a way for the players to know if the developers are working on it, or if they think it's not worth working on. To clarify and consolidate, and specify future MO: The Suggestions board exists for the purposes of: - Allowing the Community to hash out and suggest ideas through discussion
- Providing ideas for the Development team to pick up and continue the development of, with the end potential of implementation
The second note is important. Not all ideas are good upon end of community discussion. And I will not accept all ideas suggested by the community, on this point, I will be very clear. If I, or the team, see that the implementation of the idea would cause issues, whether it's mechanic and code related, or gameplay related, then I will not put work into it. Of course, I will make my point clear in the thread, and keep it open for future thought spewing, but yes. Having all the cool stuff is nice and all, giving every department all of the tools they will eventually need would be wonderful, I'm sure. But it would not serve gameplay. The point I'm trying to raise is perfectly illustrated by a thread like this: auroraserver.freeforums.net/thread/1449/toxins-testing-room-regenerationor this: auroraserver.freeforums.net/thread/1213/slime-freezerHopefully my words here are understood as I mean them. The community still retains a whole lot of sway with the Development staff, and their decision making process. Heck, I've even had community members, individuals, turn my thought process and opinions of an idea around. So I do accept input, and I regard it very highly.
WITH THAT SAID The way this is going to work: I have created a "Projects in Progress" subforum here. All threads which contain ideas that the Development team has started active work on will be moved there, and replied to by a Developer, the one who started majority work on it. I except only Developers to do the management, otherwise this system will not work. The threads moved are still kept open for active input. (And trust me, the other way I can go about doing this is an Excel spreadsheet. And none of you want to see my spreadsheets, for they are complicated as fuuuck.)

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not Skully. Dx And yeah SoundScopes, about three months ago there was one, but I was gone for a while so I'm not sure what happened to it

It was sarcasm.
If there's an easier way which retains efficiency, which this does, in my opinion, then I'm using this.
