Today we're back with another superawesomedelicious guide! For all those noobs and bestrpers, emote battles will be so much easier from now on! Yes, that's right! Easier.Wait, what's that! It's Jerk McFaget again, oh no, he's attacking Derp Superlewd... You see how powergam-y this is, yes? PEOPLE HATES YOU FOR THIS.Luckily the SUPERDELICIOUS EXTRAVAGANZAAA Button we have here saves the day! This button will ask you only ONE question and that is Those are the dices you can roll, for example 10 will roll between 1 and 10. The rules can be edited by players as they wish but my favourite one is D20 where both the sides roll D20 and the higher roll wins, in this way balance will be preserved during emote battles. Here, have an example It's not looking good for Jerk McFaget... Hooray that's a victory! This can be used by admins, too, for example they can do a global emote then tell everyone to roll the dice they wish! Nice, right? ProfitsEmote battles solved without complaining! A better balanced way of ending battles. Easier event management. That's it! Note: I'm hoping that people here can realize the wonders of emote battles and how capable they are, with this new feature I'm pretty sure it will be better! Hooray!

Set intent to blue, await push, set intent to red, await red splat, return to blue, rinse and repeat.

Being someone who used to Gmod RP...and have to describe every action in so much detail my fellow allies and I could write a book within a night of just our chat highlights. I like the idea of actual RP instead of the SS13 combat system being used all the time....kudos to you sir Dalek.

This thang has been misused, people don't care about disadvantages...
If you're handcuffed, you would have more than -10 debuff if you want to do something (speaking of D20 rolling system) and it's not only limited to handcuffs, every single time people just ignore them disadvantages and fail.

Put some checks in the code to see if someone his handcuffed or tied up somehow? Can't get every scenario but you could get a few.

Its not a issue of it being misused. To certainly people being handcuffed isn't a disadvantage at all. Hell, to some it could even be an advantage. If I have handcuffs in front of me, I can still move around, I can still block, I can still hit, I can still swing. The handcuffs don't stop me from doing that. What if I am throwing a kick? Should I still take the -10, which is far to high, for that as well? No, having handcuffs dosent take away the fact that I can still kick. Maybe I get behind them, kick out there legs and choke em out with my cuffs. Nope, -10 because "gameplay". I don't think the Dice should just be used as a full on gaming feature, its to allow a more cinematic, fun and RP focused fight to happen without people saying, "My character should win for X,Y and Z reasons". If people want to throw in a debuff then they can, if they dot. Thats cool too. Dice rolling should be an alternative to gameplay fighting, not just an addition on it. Most people should be able to make a story of how they won or lost a fight.

The issue is, you're not handcuffed on the front, your cuffed on your back, which limits your movement alot.

If you look at the sprite you are front cuffed. (Should be edited?)

I've never seen it as being back-cuffed.

Sorry sound scopes. I agree with you, but if I don't say it someone else will, IRL we don't have wizards.. or changelings.

IRL they would cuff you from behind. Yes you would be cuffed from behind IRL. But maybe people should actualy you know, stand behind people when they cuff. Not trying to toot my own horn but, I'm the only one I have ever seen tell people to put there hands on the wall, turn around or anything else like this. So maybe, instead of just assuming we reach behind people from anyplace we stand, we could RP it out. Like, you know, we're supposed too.

*turns around and punches him the neck, instantly putting him in a coma* Is what I've seen so far from the server, just in different versions. AND if they rolled higher, they managed to execute this emote.

AND if they rolled higher, they managed to execute this emote. Well, that isn't a misuse it's a clear case of bad RolePlay. I don't mean to toot my own horn again...but when I did a fight like this with Roy (Kiento or something like that) we had a set function. It would take 6 "offensive wins" to win the fight. How this worked was every time we rolled the dice, one person was attacking and the other defending. The attacking person would me whatever there attack was and both would roll the dice. Attacker won, they hit. Defender won, they blocked/doged/whatever. After this the rolls switched. A 20 was a counter and a 1 an epic fail. This, allowed for a clear winner, and no one saying gank. It's not people misusing it, it's people not understanding it. Or just rather very poor RP.

I don't like the idea because when I first joined the server, I felt like it was a perfect blend of RP and gameplay, over the last few months it's been really leaving the nice blend and going to blandness. I consider myself robust, I also do not believe I need to click to win. Rolling dice is unnecessary, and would take away from the pace that I consider enjoyable.
