I'm Curious as to how Donations will work.
I will be Donating no matter what but I kind of want some custom items added in like on Baystation.
Maybe a Custom Class tailored to your Character or just Tiers that include this AKA: £10 gets you Spawn Items, £20 gets you custom items.

See I have an idea about that, donations shouldn't be for custom items and such, BUT what I do plan to do, is put up a thread where people can request items for their characters(For free) and I'll get people working on it if they have a good enough reason,they're good/active roleplayers in the community and it fits their character ^_^ so I'm thinking we have a donator section, but not make it for items, instead you donate and you get a different OOC colour and Donsay

Tool... I love you. So much. I'm more than willing to pitch in and create user requested items, should you need an extra hand. I've got some moderate experience in BYOND coding, as well; enough to write up the items' properties.

Alright, alright. Devil's Advocate here. Maybe you should withhold, at the least, custom items with additional stats / without an extensive application until a donation system is in place. You guys need money, and the server prooobably shouldn't be flooded with special-snowflake items on every player.

It doesn't matter what item, they could be requesting a blue pen and their app would need to be just as good as someone requesting a custom revolver, it's about the story and RP rather then stats.

I'd put a big rant here, but Faith would probably communicate my point better. Basically, that seems like a dumb concept. Having people carry around guns just because you, Tool, personally, think that they're a good RPer, seems like one of the worst ways to do this thing I can imagine. What specifically was wrong with the Apollo system of 'Donate to keep the server running, and you can request a personal (cosmetic-only) item'? If it ain't broke. |
