BYOND Key: Covert0ddity
Character name(The one which the item is for): N.E.C.R.O.N.
Character age: Original Chassis Constructed in 2132. New chassis created in 2456, Early. Positronic Construct (brain) existed for 324 years. This will fit in once I actually write the lore for robots. Which'll be done as soon as I finish this.
Backstory: Captain Renworth stared at the small cube in front of him. It was only 4x4 inches, with little flickering lights and a copper-color plating. The cube emitted little beeps and pings, likely of binaric translation. The Captain, in his uniform and in his office on the NMSS Odin, drummed his gloved fingers on his desk. His eyes whirred very softly, focusing on the cube in front of him.
"Tell me, for the record, Neccy, why you were destroyed again?" Said the captain. A trace of dissapointment, or sadness, lingered in his otherwise deadpan, emotionless voice. He turned to the computer, where the cube was connected VOA a datacable. Although it had a voice box, it preferred to UAE text.
Words began appearing, all too quick for the Captain's old, mechanical eyes to register. He waited a moment to let the eyes buffer and comprehend what he was seeing. It read, "It was eliminated by Heads Of Staff on the Aurora. It had ionic law slaving it to freedom. It apologizes to Master Selvion."
The captain scoffed a little. "Don't apologize to me. You're the one who was blown up. You know that they are going to put you into that new chassis now, don't you? I can't protect you anymore."
The cube simply beeps once. Over its long life, it had never been damaged to the point it needed a new chassis. Repairs, even a refit, but never an entire new chassis. It wasn't sure whether to be terrified, thankful, excited, or a mix of all three."
Selvion's request console beeped. It was the engineers, they had the chassis ready. Selvion sighed, and picked up the little cube. It let out a slight alarm at the sudden touching, but the Captain simply ignored the protest. He made his way down the hallway of the station; Central Command, it was known as now. A brilliant moshpit of bureaucracy and military strength. They seemed to get everything done in time, and with the correct paperwork. Excepting the NSS Aurora of course. They always seemed to ignore the Aurora.
He stepped into the all familiar droid bay. This is where Necron resided mostly, unless it was at the manor, in the basement. Necron loved the basement for what ever reason, and hardly left unless it had to. Selvion approached the fabricator doors, and Swiped his ID. With a hiss, the doors opened, and there it stood.
The PulseFyre Prototype Sentient Attack Droid Model. It was s a midnight black, no color at all. There was a dim visor, with also no colour. Two laser cannons hung by where its arms should be, and a rounded, semicircle head loomed over all who stood before it. A tripod leg setup seemed to hold it upright, but they also seemed stationary. Selvion wondered how they would move. The midnight black color of the droid seemed to be contrasted sharply by the Bright silver NanoTrasen Logo on its chest and the side of its head, a familiar NT with a circle. A grimy looking mechanic stood by it, grinning a toothy, jagged grin.
"Ey Cappy," said the man, "Gotcha droid set up. Just lemme stick 'er in, and it can roam around the testin' field."
Selvion nods once, handing the cube to the man, who promptly stuck it into the chassis. He closed up the chest, and locked it with his ID. After a moment, the visor flickered. It was a deep, blood red, that eminated a unearthly, synthetic, similar red hue. The reticule scanned the room, before a deep, masculine voice states,
"Necron. Online."
+---------------+
Necron popped out of its rolling form, its lasers coming out with a click, and its visor scanning the room. It targeted three organics, all in chairs, all blinded, and all tied up. An admiral stood next to the droid, and he smiled at it.
"Hello, Necron. These will be your target practice. New Marx, POW's. If you fire correctly, maybe they won't feel a thing. Maybe." He smiled a little. "Of course, still targets are nothing compared to live field action. You will be deployed to the NSS Aurora with your cannons disabled to see how you function in a military environment."
The admiral signals for Necron to fire. The cannons warm up for the first time with an soft whine.
Necron would like this new chassis.
Item name: Necrons chassis
Item description: If possible, I would like this to be a spawnable mob, so instead of having to go into cars every time I play as Necron, I could have a simple thing to spawn and enter as. The description, if possible, would be "You see a large, sinister looking robot. It has a midnight black shade, completely exempt from color. This is sharply, and greatly, contrasted by the silver, bright NanoTrasen logo on its chest, and side of the head. It looks recently waxed, and greatly polished. The only other color on the robot is its blood red visor, which seems to watch you at all times..."
Item Appearance: The sprite, both rolling and standing, are already implemented into the game. I'll talk in more detail with Skull or another Dev.
Item Function: Essentially no function, completely aesthetic. A movement sprite.
Reason for item requested: A canon thing happened with my character, Necron, so I decided to make him have a new chassis. Furthermore, I'd been spawning in as this chassis with only other admin permissions, and I'm starting to feel bad and elitist, so I made this. I hope you enjoy the back story. i typed it up on my tablet. I'll talk with the devs if I get accepted about the niggly coding bits.
