Um, I dont really see the need for this.
I mean, its cool! Yeah we would be able to bite, but that is honestly the most situational suggestion ever. How often are you going to be in such a close proximity to bite someone? This is, as was already said, a last ditch effort in any fight. Usually when your in a choke hold and your opponents hand/arm is right next to your mouth. So we would need that to happen for it to happen before anyone should really be biting.
Then in practice, how often does anyone ever get put into a choke hold? Not offten. My question is, why is this needed? Our dev team is good but I myself would rather see them working on other things that are more common and important.

Concession statement : This is however something I think Unathi and Tajarians should have, because like...you know. They aren't humans and it would make sense.

Ooooor we could be good little rp'ers and use the 'me' function. All it requires is the person on the other end to react, AND for you to not force it as it is a combat esc situation.... Unless your char has like.. A thing.. For biting..

Which in my experience doesn't usually happen with newer players or people who just aren't as into RP. Was more of a joke to be fairly honest. As interesting as biting may be, you'd think adults hired by a multi billion credits worth corporation would not really resort to such behaviour. This is going off the basis that humanity has learnt etiquettes to a much higher standard in the future. It doesn't mean they would be followed though. From personal irl experience I've only seen biting been resorted too from younger teenagers. (obviously this does not implicate all younger teenagers are like this, it's really a minority)

Well no I see the point of it. I mean, Lady Stark bites off the assassins finger in GoT's. It does happen but I dont believe it is worthwhile enough to go tell our devs they should code this when there are other things to go and code.

I wouldn't say its not worthwhile, but it's definitely not important as of yet. Though it is just a suggestion at the moment. Personally I would like to see an overhaul of the melee combat sometime in the future, but no fingers crossed as this is BYOND. Little things like biting can create a more 'interesting' experience when the chance is given. I'd say it's more of a topping to the mixture rather then a main ingredient.
And yes, I mixed fighting with food. Deal with it.

We will get a full on 3D mo-cap SS13 before we get a overhaul of the melee combat I think.

Don't forget to change the biting aspects according to race... I don't think Diona even have mouths. They don't eat, or breath. And tajaran and unathi will have a more damaging bite, IPCs can't bite, and skrell... Do they have teeth? Frogs don't have teeth. Also: IAN MUST BE ABLE TO BITE.

If you're not the HoP, Ian gets a chance to bite after each pet.

It's going to turn into an erp bite fest and you all know it. We have plenty of lesbians and stutterers, we don't need biters. We'll then get walkers (not the crisp brand for you British scrubs) and then zombies.. And Rusty will actually be a thing in game...

I was thinking it could also suit as a final resort while cuffed.
It would be slower, and have a 'Raieed Amari tries to bite Eliana Sloan!' Which you could then smack their shit when they try.
Besides that, it's just a feature that would be neat.
Plushies are cooler, doe. Cause carrying around stuffie Carp as Raieed would be awesome.

We need to be able to kick while wearing cuffs. Because even while handcuffed, suspects still pose a danger to police.
