So, 100% this is going into the lore as it has the support of the loredevs and several admins, however I want to include these guys into the game eventually and I want the public's opinion on them
The Kocasslani (Co-case-lani) are a species of Humanoids, the closest in appearance to Humanity. Distinguished from the significantly more populous species by their solid white, reflective eyes, blunted noses, fused ears and various creases that exist across their entire body. Their homeworld is the tiny ice world of Sonhadra, Which is renowned for it's frigid atmosphere. Religion, is an overwhelming force within Kocasslani society and influences every facet of their culture, making religious officials highly praised by the average Kocasslani.
Mechanics:
Overview:
Naming:
The Kocasslani naming scheme is based upon three names, the first being a personal name, the second being a the name of the father, or mother if no father is present. And the third being the colony world on which they were born. Kocasslani names are also non-gender specific, with any name being usable with any gender.
Names typically have heavy used of a character translated into English as “I” with Saliisi, Narinsii, Alsasii, Koliisin and Mivissia being some of the most common personal names.
If one's father was Alsasii and your personal names was 'Viisi' and you were born upon the colony world of Niivali. Then your name would be Viisi Alsasiivini Niivali if male and Viisi Alsasiilini Niivali if female. With “Vini” being attached to the end of the second name if male, and “Lini” being attached if female.
Biology:
Kocasslani are built to survive the lifeless environment of Sonhadra, and have managed to endure for thousands of years in this horrific environment of ice and snow. They have a nose, similar in function to Humans though it is typically less powerful, however it is more flattened and rounded than Human's noses are. It also typically is a darker color than the surrounding skin.
The snow covered ice plains of Sonhadra are massively reflective, making walking the plains a painful, if not blinding sight. However, the Kocasslani have evolved large, solid white reflective eyes to combat this. With the eyes reflecting excess light during the short days and large enough to absorb every ray during the long, dark nights.
Unlike Humans, where hair manifests on nearly everyone. Hair, is a rarer trait among the Kocasslani and is nearly completely absent from the Males of their population, with the few born with this unique trait being seen as blessed by the gods above. 30-50% of the female population does have hair, though this is typically pushed further back on them then on the equivalent Human. Those males who do grow hair are a favorite for blood sacrifice
Kocasslani brains are of a similar structure to the human brain, however they are slightly more complex. Though, this is more of a hindrance than an advantage as a single head injury can damage the overall cranium.
Kocasslani males and females are of roughly the same high, both raging from 5'4” to 6'2”.
Birth and Reproduction:
Kocasslani reproduce in a similar manner to Humanity, scientific study has even suggested that cross-breeding may be possible with some medical assistance, however this is frowned upon by many Kocasslani due to religious issues. The Kocasslani differ in a number of ways, a single sexual encounter is not enough to reproduce, with repeated fertilization required for an embryo to be viable. The pregnancy also lasts closer to 15 months, due to the Kocasslani's more complex internal organs.
However, the Kocasslani are a dwindling race due to a unique facet of their biology that is slowly killing their race. The average female can only give birth once or twice before being rendered infertile. Whether the fetus is viable or is stillborn has no effect. While the population has been largely the same for decades, some are noting a small but noticeable decline in birth rates.
It is due to this that the murder of children is the most heinous of crimes among their race, even the accusation of doing so is enough to disgrace someone for life. While any evidence whether circumstantial or not is likely to lead to imprisonment. There are even reports of female child murderers being forced to bear children against their will for the 'Betterment of all Kocasslani'.
Gender Differences:
Other than being usually equal in height, the Kocasslani are relatively easy to tell apart gender-wise. Females are typically slim in build with a narrower waist and are usually less muscular while males are more muscular and more consistent in body shape.
Lifespan:
With the advancement of technology, the average Kocasslani can expect to live nearly 200 Human years if in good health. A Kocasslani is considered an adult at the young age of 16 terrans years old, a Kocasslani year is .7 Human years.
Language:
The most commonly used Kocasslani language is known as Sini and is a highly eloquent language that is spoken with a high degree of precision. A single slip of the tongue can turn an proposition of marriage into a threat or admission of unfaithfulness.
When speaking another language, Kocasslani tend to avoid contractions as they see them as 'Improper' and uncivilized.
Diet:
Plant matter is highly uncommon on the surface of Sonhadra and as such the Kocasslani have evolved to feed primarily on meat and fungi. While capable of consuming vegetables and fruit, it will cause stomach pains and little nutrient is gained from it.
Kocasslani have developed a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and are well adjusted to it's consummation as well as it's production
Relations:
As a newly emerged interstellar species, the Kocasslani have yet to develop major ties with other powers. The initial contact with Humanity however has been fruitful, however little diplomatic progress has been made since first contact.
Their limited contact with the Skrell has been extremely negative due to their bloody, 'barbaric' religious rituals.
Sexual relations are exclusive, with often only one pairing for their entire life. Tradition requires that both partners be either on 'the path' or off of it. Mixed religious pairings are not tolerated, with the few that exist becoming outcasts.
Religion:
The Kocasslani religion is known as “The Path” an ancient system of beliefs revering a species of massive space-organisms which dwell in their system. The 'gods' are unnamed in this system of belief, however it is known that they demand blood in order for the majority of the population to avoid eternal damnation.
The priests of this belief system are known as 'The bloodied' due to a unique baptism like ritual in-which the priests are put inside of a sterilized pod which is then flooded with dozens of galleons of freshly harvested blood.
These sacrifices are typically only seen as 'of value' if they have a unique trait such as males with hair. They are condemned to eternal damnation in a bloody ritual in-which they are completely exsanguinated with a axe-like instrument made of obsidian. This, while not an honor is seen as a necessary evil preformed to save the souls of the infinite many.
Recent evidence from illegal unmanned probes into their territory have formulated a theory that many within the Human scientific community support. That these space-borne “gods” are somehow mobile Dionea clusters. This information has not yet been disclosed to the Kocasslani for fear of a religious backlash.
Society
Culture:
Their culture is extremely rich, though the overall scheme seems to emphasize a focus on religion. Arts and music are extremely religious in nature, often honoring or portraying one of more of the unnamed gods.
Home-world:
The Kocasslani hail from Sonhadra, an snowball of a world covered in frozen plains and mountains. The cities of the Kocasslani are typically burrowed into the side of a mountain, hiding from the blinding sunlight of the plains.
History:
Much of the Kocasslani's history is unrecorded, that which is recorded is rarely shared with other species. All that is known is that the Kocasslani have more than roughly the same level of technology as Humanity, with some fields being more advanced and others less advanced.
They are known to have had this level of technology for at-least the last 100 years. Which makes it unusual that they only expanded to the edges of their cluster. That said, they only have 12 worlds, all highly developed. The worlds are, Sonhadra, Niivali, Aiisisi, Viinuvi, Niruaii, Kiivani, Liius, Tariis, Miiih Sonhadri, Xiivli, Riitunizi
Military:
The Military, like most of the rest of society is highly ritualized and highly religious in nature. With warriors joining at the age of 16 and serving for life. At the end of a ten year long training camp on a hostile ice moon at the edge of their territory, they head back to the government's palace. Here, they ceremonially burn their hands on the sacrificial hearth of the government, showing their loyalty to not only their leaders, but their gods and their species as a whole.
These warriors don't have the advantages of genetic engineering, high tech battle armor or advanced weaponry. But they do have a tenacious drive to never give a foot of ground, for every inch of their realm is sacred and to surrender it without first dying it in the blood of heathens would be heresy. Any invader to their territory would likely eventually succeed due to the small amount of warriors they can muster, but would suffer unbearable losses in the attempt. Holding the territory, would likely be even harder.

Mechanics:
- Kocasslani have their own language which can be used in game by typing say “:z
- Kocasslani religious tradition prevents the wearing of gloves without a “job related safety reason” involved.
- Kocasslani are the most similar species to Humanity ever discovered. They have several different abilities however, as well as disadvantages that make them roughly equal to Humanity.
- Kocasslani, like the Terran canine family has an inability to metabolize Chocolate and other Cacao products. Ingesting even small amounts will result in death.
