Hello there.
I do not know anything about coding, so I don't know if this could be possible.
I believe that, in the set-up character menu, you should decide what clothing your little 2dSpessman is wearing before they show up for work and that they must change into their work uniform which should be available in their designated workplace. Staying out of their uniform can count as a neglect of duty charge, yadda yadda yadda.
What do you think, Aurora?

I like this idea, it would add an extra something to the station.

I prefer Selvion Renworth's method of arriving nude. Can we do that instead?

Something simple, yet great. +1.

It would give the personal lockers, the locker room and the bathrooms all a purpose.

It would give the personal lockers, the locker room and the bathrooms all a purpose. I use all three ._. I get skirts, get my dress shoes, and change in the bathroom. So do many other people.

I dont see the point of it. People get dressed at the central command and with the shift chnage tey get shipped here. At the end I dont see the point of it so somewhat -1
But dat be possible to code in, aye.

It would give a nice, unique feel to our server. This would be something that no one else has. In the end, I'm kinda neutral towards it, but it sounds like a fairly good idea.

Realism is also an unique feeling.

Dalek, it depends on how the system is set up. One idea would be something like this: you report to a local shuttle doc in the morning, and to the shuttle in civvie clothes. You arrive on station wearing that clothing. On station you get dressed, and report to CC for debriefing and further duties in work clothes.
I just have one issue with this. It requires that we trust people to NOT skimp out on changing to duty uniforms. You're still at work, and just like a normal adult right now, you would want to dress appropriately. A few instances ofindividuality, fine. But if I start seeing civvie street, I'll be disappointed to hell and back.

Skull, there is one easy way to correct that issue, that has already been mentioned, which is implementation into space law about the use of correct protective equipment and work clothing and give sec the power to enforce.

Still, I fear it as a thing. However, I am more than intrigued by this idea, greatly so.

Hmm. I suppose that you could be allowed to change into your more comfortable clothing if you've been given an extended break. Or so you don't stay dressed in the work jumpsuit after you've been dismissed from your position.

But it will ruin some explanations we put up, for example, late joining it will be way harder to explain and the end of the round we return to cent comm, why?

Dalek, I still fail to see your point. What explanations.
As for late joining, I fail to see how it will be harder to explain that.
And the end of the round, again I fail to see a problem... yes we return to Central Command, but I fail to see how that is a problem?
Additional Suggestion: This might be harder, but it would be pretty cool if those of us with custom clothing sprites. I.e. Stevens Uniform, were able to select to spawn with them worn?

I actually don't see too much of a problem of arriving in civilian clothing. There's a reason there are jumpsuits in lockers in the main work areas of the station. Just add a couple more to each locker and you're golden.

Actually, in regards to the late joiners. This makes even more sense, to quote Keknar:
[12:16:48] Aaron (Keknar): LAte joining makes perfect sense. You ran your ass to a shuttle to showup to shift so you didnt have time to change [12:17:03] Aaron (Keknar): cause you're the worst employee and overslept/drank to much

It doesn't because I doubt the shuttles would work as taxis. Plus after the shift transfer people get back to the Central Command so that would make me think they are coming from Central Command, too.
So it's fair to assume they get dressed at the Central Command and then just hop aboard Aurora.
inb4 Tuiee tells us how retarded this discussion is and locks the thread.
O wait, he needs to be involved for that.
