Doug drove through the snowy night, the transient munching noisily on the cake in the passenger seat behind him. He smiled. Soon, they pulled up in front of a very classy apartment building.
Doug opened his door, and then the transient's.
"Don't worry, pal. I'm not throwin' you back out on the street. Come on."
Doug offered a hand, and the transient accepted it, rising from his car seat tiredly. Doug walked in to the apartment building, then across the posh lobby to a fancy elevator. Doug held the door while the transient entered, and then took off his augmented aviators. His subtly augmented eyes glowed with a sheen that was rather... Unnatural. Doug pressed the button for the 20th floor. The elevator shot up at lightning speed, and the door opened in to a pristine hallway. Doug bade the transient to follow him, and they made their way to Doug's apartment down the hall. He opened the door.
The apartment was gigantic, spacious. The entire wall opposite the door was a window, with a nice view of New Chicago. There was a big couch, a giant TV, and the latest game console. To the left of the entrance, there was a little kitchen area, and to the right, a door that led to the bathroom. Next to that door, there was another one- probably leading to Doug's bedroom.
Doug made a broad, sweeping hand motion. "You can crash here, for a little while. I want to get you all sorted out, you know? And I'm not throwing you back on the streets."

JC had eyed the man's motions from the side. Although he didn't expect the old gun to be pulled, he /did/, however, expect some sort of arm. He delayed for a second, looking as though he was going to raise his arms in surrender, before pouncing at the man. He was able to knock the gun skittering across the floor, and land a blow directly in the man's stomach, before his own flank was exposed.
He tries to scoop under the man to lift him up, but leaves the back of his neck exposed. A mistake he may not be able to regret, but one he would never make again.

As the struggle ensues, many of the pedestrians flee from the coffee shop. The cashier can clearly be seen on a phone in distress. William is sent to the ground, however due to the man leaving his neck exposed, he elbows the man in the throat, and manages to get the highly-augmented man off him. He did not find the prospect of trying again to be in his best interests, and so he darts for his gun, quickly scooping it up by the handle. Police cruisers quickly piled up outside, and he was surrounded. The sound of police sirens filled the square. And the man inevitably was surrounded. He dropped his gun, and fell to his knees, placing his hands around his neck. He did not look back.

JC quickly got behind the man, pulling out the pair of cuffs he usually carried with him. For once in his damn life, the infocom in his head didn't buzz.
He cuffed the man, and rubbed at his throat, the nanites isnide of him quickly working on the few ruptured, tiny blood vessels. There wouldn't veen be a bruise. The technology inside of him amazed him in so many ways, but even he knew he wasn't immortal. He wouldn't make another mistake like that. He spoke to the man's ear,
"Have a happy life, buddy." Before departing. He left the rest to the police folks. He entered his sedan, and drove down the highway. He had rented a small apartment, for his vacation time. He drove up to the same apartment that Doug happened to live, and exited his armored car. Locking the door, he travelled up the stairs, and began to open his door.

"Captain! They got him! They got Aubrey The young lietenant said as she rushed by his office. Pepir quickly nodded and picked up the retro styled phone on his desk, making a quick call to the department of justice. The man picked up his old revolver and Holstered under his arm, as he tightened his suspenders. Liam followed the lieutenant down the halls of the precinct all the way to the front door where the man known as William Aubrey , wanted for mutiny, was being dragged in by four officers. "Take him to the interrogation chamber, I want Inspector Davies on this, keep Isla away from him, they have a rough past." The old captain said, before walking back to his office, where he saw the picture of his wife, Annabelle. He tried his hardest not to look at it, after those anti-aug protestors murdered her, but sometimes he needed to be reminded of her face, even just for a moment, he took his seat and sighed rubbing his bald head. ((Sorry I took so long to post, I've been really busy, but here seemed appropriate, better late then never ))

William sad in the interrogation room, his head slung coldly over the table. His eyes were trailing off, and his hands were cuffed and attached to the holster under the table. He looked up as the door slid open, and Inspector Davies, an unfamiliar face, appeared before him. His ill-sunken eyes watched the inspector as he sat down, the man leaning back as his cuffs made shackling sounds. He was adorned in an orange jumpsuit and nothing else.
