Head of Security Rose Watson, advisor of Emergency Task Force of Einstein Engines incorporated, has come forth this week to make a statement in light of the recent 'Red Roots' propaganda video. A clip of the video in question begins to play. Rose is seen, speaking to the audience in a small hideout. The video is minimized and continues to play in the corner of the screen, and the news reporter speaks again The video feed has spread like wildfire over the internet, catching the attention of many. Now we turn our attention to Rose Watson as she gives her statement to the public of the Procyon System, a good month after the first viewing of the propaganda video.
Another video feed cuts in, showing a young, redhead woman in her mid-twenties. She has her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail, with her bangs neatly combed around the sides of her face. Her left arm is placed in a sling, supported with splits. Another splint runs down the back of her shoulder. She wears a sleek black uniform, decorated with a few badges. The emblem 'EEI' is imprinted above the badges. She steps up to the podium, adjusting the mic. The crowd's murmuring quiets down as she gazes out to the gathered reporters.
"I come forth to speak truthfully, and prudently, to the people of Canis Minor. It is true that in the past, I was contracted with NanoTrasen. I worked to serve as a peacekeeping officer - I will not hide that fact. But I hold no loyalty or love for this terrorist organization. I have no respect for them. My services were purchased with blackmail, and even to this day, I still recover from the scars inflicted upon me."
"Project Red Roots did happen - sadly, I can vouch for its existence, as I experienced it firsthand. I understand that the main concern are my actions against NanoTrasen, and the allegations of Einstein Engine's involvement. I will state this now, that my actions were mine alone. Einstein Engines does not condone terrorism - never have and never will. If NanoTrasen has the nerve to demand any legal actions against Einstein Engines, then I would like to remind them of the crimes on humanity they've freely conducted for years. I will not place my burden on Einstein Engines, should NanoTrasen demand their so-called 'justice'. I have never pledged loyalty to the Syndicate, or any other terrorist organization focused against NanoTrasen. I would question what they would even dare think of asking of one person, who simply wished to protect her brother from the same fate she was forced to suffer."
"The exposure of Red Roots is merely the truth. NanoTrasen must take responsibility for their own cruelty, instead of pointing blame to other corporations. This is their own undoing. I will do everything I can to help guard the borders of Canis Manorism from NanoTrasen, for as long as I can. I can never return to Tau Ceti, as the moment I step a foot there, I will be hunted down like a criminal. I am not a criminal, I am an advocate. All I sought, was for Red Roots to end, as I am firm in my views that loyalty should not be forced upon any one person. Loyalty should come with honest intent, not a chip drilled into the back of a skull. And I-"
The TV screen suddenly goes blue, emitting static. the words [PLEASE STAND BY] scroll across the bottom of the screen. There's at least half a minute of static, before the television returns to its usual programming. Apparently, the news station passed by an ion storm, and Rose's speech was regrettably cut short.
