What it said, we could use with some actual, run of the mill disabilities/medical issues, such as fucked up limbs, migraines, you know the things. Obviously, these would nerf the player by whatever they picked. Limb's would make them unusable or less functional, such as slowing them down or dropping damage when used for attacks, whatever you please. Picking leg based trauma would spawn you with a cane. Migraines would cause occasional winces and other nikolaithebeast's, and on occasion do minor damage to the player. Hemophilia would cause minor injuries to rapidly get out of hand, by not properly closing up without medical attention. Oh, and why not some heterochromia, which would cause two differently coloured eyes, eye based issues which may or may not be dizziness, blindness or fuzziness. I've...actually run out of idea's, It may be the tiredness. I will think of more later. or you guys can, your smart. Sometimes. some of you.

I like this idea.. I really do..but would Nanotrasen really hire an entire crew of disabled people? Cripple-Station 13
Like it's also one of the reasons I was against the sign language being added, because it encourages people to make deaf characters.. so we have a lot of UN-unique deaf characters.

The key is to make them within normal constraints.
Such as specific drug allergies, food allergies, etcetera. And if supported by ingame mechancis, then to ensure in the fact that they make sense, and again, are within the constraints of normality.
---
Also, if we want to introduce the full nine yard, as proposed by Nikolai, then perhaps a point system that automatically denies entry if you go too high, on the grounds of the individual not being medically fit enough.

Agreed. I'd rather not meet Lily the pasty lesbian with a bad leg, two coloured eyes and bleeds out like a stuck pig.

Michael has heart and eye problems because of his age and he also is missing an arm, but one handed he still does his job right. Which is why I worry Michael will have too many points on the system

Someone like that would never be granted posting outside of medical, civilian or science departments. Perhaps Captain, but those injuries combined with age may lead to the questioning of mental capabilities. At which point, nope.
If the point system was ever to be thought up and implimented, it'd have to go a lot of dumb-checking.
