I'll begin with a brief description of what this is.
Basically, as a player you control a nation in the year 2070. By this time, globalization has taken vast effects and the number on nations on the world has shrunk to a handful. Those that remain are usually very powerful, economically, militarily or otherwise. When a single war can end in the deaths of hundreds of millions, most are eager to avoid war. So the focus in this age has shifted to diplomacy.
YOU, yes you.
You are the leader of one of these superpowers. From the Democratic Union of the Americas to the Presidential Dictatorship in the Republic of West Africa, you control your countries fate. Whether you will reconcile with your enemies, plunge the world into a new world war, reverse the course of Globalization or lead it to it's completion. The choice is yours, the fate of your nation. Of untold millions, lies within your hands.
Now is the Overview
Scenario Description: The year is 2074 and the world has changed rapidly in the last 60 years. Globalization has run it's course and the hundreds of nation-states of the early 21st century are but a distant dream. This is a time of diplomacy, a time of stability for some and a time of war for others. The world is changing quickly, can you keep up with the pace?
Stuff to remember:
I (Dea) am the “Game master” I control NPC nation responses, write events and guide the game. Most of these will be extremely important/ will shape the game so, pay attention to them.
Rule :War. War is a diplomatic tool and can and should be used in some situations, some nations have advantages over others and are good at certain types of warfare while others exceed where you would fail. However, your population (Typically) isn't easily spurred to war and will tire of it quickly, a series of long-drawn out wars may cause revolutions that will topple your governments or reverse the course of your superpower's advances. Don't abuse war, remember this is a game of diplomacy
Statistics range from 1-10, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. The Statics are as follows.
Public Support – This effects the likeliness of your public to support a war and your gov's support in general
Corruption – How corrupt your government is.
Technology Level – How advanced your nation is, effects military and economy in events
Military Efficiency – How Well your military functions and how efficiently you wage war
Economic viability – How well your economy works
Industrialization – How industrialized your are
Political Apathy – How much your population hates politics/ is disgusted with politics
These factors don't really matter to the individual player. They'll matter mostly to me.

The Playable Nations: The Union of North American States (Green): Founded by the treaty of Washington (2061) The Union is arguably the most powerful nation this planet has ever seen. However, rampant overspending, political apathy, and terrible relations with most neutral nations have contained their power to an extent. The Union uses the Amero as it's primary currency, it is also referred to as the “Union Dollar” The Union military is remarkably smaller than the earlier U.S. Military, it is composed mostly of highly mechanized elements with cutting edge equipment. The Union navy consists of 28 carriers groups composed mainly of the “Alliance” class supercarriers and “Adventure” class railgun-armed destroyers. The Union's power lies in their flexibility, their advanced equipment allowing them to fill a variety of roles with a minimum of troops and ability to direct surgical firepower on any target across the globe. Statistics: Public Support: 5 Corruption: 4 Technology Level: 10 Military Efficiency: 10 Economic Viability: 6 Industrialization: 10 Political Apathy: 10 European Federation (Dark Blue): With the European Union expanding across Europe in the early 21st century, centralization of power was inevitable. When it did happen, Europe's power skyrocketed, with it's GDP higher than any country on the globe the E.F. Is an economic superpower, however it is difficult to spur the highly diverse population to war without an overwhelming reason to do so. The Federation has fantastic relations with most neutral states and a extremely viable economy. The primary issue with the Federation is the very diversity which makes it great also makes it unpredictable and hard to control The Federal Military is composed of an evolution of the Euro Battlegroups of the late European Union, with small regiments of multicultural troops that are typically highly experienced in counter-insurgency operations due to their frequent deployment on peacekeeping operations. However the equipment used by these troops is highly specialized for urban combat situations and is ill-suited to the massive conventional battles that would result in a war between the superpowers of the world. The Federal Navy is a smaller force that uses small flotillas as their primary organizational unit and currently operates only five carriers. They are comparable, if slightly less advanced than their American counterparts Public Support: 10 Corruption: 3 Technology Level: 8 Military Efficiency: 4 Economic Viability: 10 Industrialization: 8 Political Apathy: 8 The United Provinces of Scandinavia (Yellow): As the path of the European Union and it's successor diverged from it's previous pro-American position, the states of Scandinavia broke away and began to distance themselves from the E.F. Founded upon the tenants of democracy, freedom and equality the U.P. Proved to be a natural American ally and has stood alongside them for the last decade. The United Provinces currently only operates a small military which is hardly suited to large-scale warfare. Their equipment is normally provided by the Union of America and suits their needs quite well. The Provinces are economically stable, but not prosperous. Capable of defending itself, but not overly powerful. However the Provinces have massive public support, corruption is non-existent and has strict industrial controls. Industry however has suffered as a result, production is typically less efficient than most other states but is nearly carbon-neutral. The U.P. Has standard relations with most neutral states. The U.P. Currently only operates a single carriergroup, with less than 30 ships in their navy Public Support: 10 Corruption: 1 Technology Level: 10 Military Efficiency: 1 Economic Viability: 5 Industrialization: 2 Political Apathy: 1 The Russian Federation: (Grey-Blue) Largely the same as the Russian federation of the last 70 years, with the single exception of the annexation of Belarus and Crimea. The Russian Federation enjoys a moderate amount of support from the populace, a moderately effective military, is moderately industrialized and moderately corrupt. In reflection of this, the leadership of the Russian Federation has been mostly complacent placeholders, However the most recent presidents have led the Federation in expanding their sphere of influence dramatically to the Central Asian Republic and Transcaucasia. The military of Russia is mostly based on overwhelming shock, with lighting fast tactics and overwhelming numbers. The majority of Russian equipment is older, yet reliable and rugged. Dependable in the most difficult of circumstances. Their navy is massive, but is composed of older more-rundown equipment from an earlier age. Public Support: 4 Corruption: 5 Technology Level: 2 Military Efficiency: 6 Economic Viability: 7 Industrialization: 6 Political Apathy: 4 The Arab Republic (Brown): A long desired dream for the Arab people, the Dream of the Arab Republic came true in the late 2040's. From Dubai to Al Riff the Republic controls vast expanses of resource-rich land, renowned for it's independent people, rich culture and sophistication. The Republic however suffers from widespread discontent due to the mass of minorities that are not represented in the government, massive corruption and political backstabbing. The “Republic” is a republic in name only, as the Saudi family rules over it with largely a benevolent hand. Though nearly 50% cannot vote because of their gender. The military of the Republic is largely an unorganized mob of militias, garrisons and regional armies that is backed by the elite army of the King. The vast majority uses similar equipment to the Russian Army, though generally of even older make, while the elite guard use high-tech western equipment sold by various manufacturers in the European Federation. Public Support: 1 Corruption: 10 Technology Level: 1 Military Efficiency: 5 Economic Viability: 5 Industrialization: 3 Political Apathy: 10 The Republic of West Africa (Purple): During the mid-2050's it looked as if a new age of Imperialism might begin, with new superpowers running out of resources and the states of Africa in disarray. As the threat of a new age of colonialism loomed on the horizon, several west African nations escaped the threat by banding together in a new superpower. However, the massive amount of tribes, ethnicitys and minorities in this area were fierce opposed to globalization which ended in a massive civil war which has now only recently ended with the creation of New Mali as a independent and sovereign nation. The Military of West Africa is still battered from it's civil war, with nearly 1/3rd of the male population dead from the various atrocities that took place in the 20 year long conflict. It is composed now of depleted regiments of old and battered men and new and barely trained men. While the nation is emerging rapidly as a new power as foreign investment rises and the economy recovers, the country still has it's problems such as a dictator who refuses to have free elections, even when a second civil war looms on the horizon. Public Support: 1 Corruption: 8 Technology Level: 3 Military Efficiency: 1 Economic Viability: 6 Industrialization: 4 Political Apathy: 10 Pacifica (Teal): Born from the threat of a rapidly expanding Communist China, the weak and divided states of the Pacific and south west Asia banded together in what was supposed to be an alliance of convince, however as China formed Pan-Asia and it's power expanded even more rapidly, the democracies of Oceania and south west Asia could no-longer afford to stand alone, lest they fall to the communist horde. In the last decades, as skirmishes occur all across the border and tensions arise, military spending has only increased. As the threat of war curtails individual liberties, Pacificans everywhere begin to lose what they had banded together to protect, and begin to ask themselves, if being free was worth all they had lost. The Pacifican military is the second largest on the planet, just behind the Pan-Asian and just ahead of the Russian. They use both high-tech western equipment and low-tech native equipment to equip their diverse armies, marines and navies. The country itself has turned into a fortress by this point, with every street fortified with sandbags, concrete walls and watchtowers. Building only increases as Pan-Asia is on the march and the economy crumbles. Public Support: 1 Corruption: 0 Technology Level: 8 Military Efficiency: 8 Economic Viability: 1 Industrialization: 4 Political Apathy: 3 Pan-Asia (Red): A mid-point on the “Natural” evolution of communism. Pan-Asia is a rapidly expanding, extremely aggressive militant state insistent on spreading communism through-out Asia and unifying the various ethic groups contained within. Pan-Asia enjoys large support through-out the nations it has conquered thus far, as they have increased conditions and eliminated unemployment. The Military of Pan-Asia is solely based upon quantity rather than the quality approach taken by western nations. The nigh infinite number of soldiers is likely to overrun enemy positions before grinding to halt. They mainly used modern but cheap and unreliable weaponry that is mass-produced. Public Support: 6 Corruption: 4 Technology Level: 4 Military Efficiency: 8 Economic Viability: 5 Industrialization: 5 Political Apathy: 10

Writing up the first Event sheet now.You should respond to ALL events, even if they've got nothing to do with your nation. Your gov't would still have an opinion on it.

Union Event #1
The Union of America faces increasing criticism at home, as a recent peacekeeping mission in Gran Columbia has ended in disaster. An detachment of 400 servicemen and women were ambushed by local insurgents, the convoy suffered massive losses and many at home are calling for an end to peacekeeping, while this would certainly solve the problems of unrest, the Union is obligated by international agreements to use it's military in a peacekeeping role. How do you respond to this problem of Domestic Unrest?
Federation Event #1
Although the United Kingdoms was once a member of the Union, that ceased being the case several decades ago, in recent days however a minority in Wales is demanding that they be allowed to secede and join the Federation, the U.K. Government has responded harshly to such demands and has deployed their military to occupy the province. As the occupation has dragged on for nearly a month now, deaths are starting to mount due to actions partly taken by the garrison and partly by the local protestors. How will you respond to this?
U.P. Event #1
Greenland, a long-held colony of the member state of Denmark is petitioning for independent status within the Provinces, however the Danish government has denounced such calls for independence and is demanding that it remains under Danish control, as it has been part of the Danish patrimony for hundreds of years. Some think that independence for Greenland will result in Denmark seceding from the U.P., others believe it will only cause a minor incident. What will the government do?
R.F. Event #1
Chechnya has been causing you problems for decades by this point, and up until now they have been but a minor nuisance that can be alleviated by a armored detachment or two. However, Chechen insurgents have appeared with state of the art western equipment, the make is hard to pin however and the source cannot be confirmed. With the threat of open revolution, with the people's support in one of your provinces and a foreign, hostile government supplying them, the government needs to act quickly. What will you do?
Pacifica #1
The Pacifican Alliance lies at the edge of collapse, ethnic minorities across India and Pakistan are in open arms, and while you have adequate forces to engage these rebels, the Pan-Asian army is also on the March, eager to secure a section of Territory that while under your control, is administered by them. Allowing the rebels to run free could result in an independent India or Pakistan, but Allowing the Pan-Asians to take your territory makes you look weak and could result in further incursions. How does the government respond?

'MURICA IS MINETo solve the problem of unrest at home, I vow to recall boots on the ground for peacekeeping operations, cutting the number of soldiers present for such operations in the future. To make up for this, I will instead focus more on deploying air assets, such as fighter jets and drones, and smaller teams of specialists rather than large convoys of troops moving en masse. I will also replace a significant number of infantry with mechanized units, such as tank battalions. I begin diplomatic relations with the UK, with subtle veiled threats of embargo should they continue occupation of Wales. I stay out of the affair with Denmark and Greenland, as Greenland is really fucking cold and only about ten people live there year round, anyway. {Secret}Subtly continue providing high tech armaments to Chechen rebels through the use of a complex and elaborate system of proxies and black market arms dealers. Offer to send aid in the form of drones and operators to assist with the situation with Pakistan and India.

The Pacifican Alliance has been dealing with threats of rebellion, as well as military action from the Pan-Asian neighbors. Economy and production are currently the main goals of Pacifica, and the happiness of its people are important to the success of the Alliance.
We will move what troops we can (from territories away from the border with Pan-Asia, for example New Zealand and Australian troops) to assist with the situation in India and Pakistan. With the help of drones from the advanced North American military, we should be able to slow and stop any rebellion.
The Pacifican Alliance asks for assistance with the Pan-Asian threat, specifically from its neighbors. We will attempt negotiations with the Russian Federation (a PM will be sent to Tuiee to try and work this out) to assist with the situation, and we will try to avoid war as much as we can.
The Pacifican people are diverse but proud, and despite our problems, we are powerful together.

The Russian Federation will not stand to have its citizens in revolt. At the risk of arousing E.F. suspicions, troops will be deployed in order to maintain Russian control of Chechnya - it is a valuable border territory and a buffer between the E.F. and the Federation. The people of the province must also take into account that the nation states of old are gone; independence would surely result in annexation by another power or swift and brutal reclamation through military means.
Additionally, we denounce the Union's so-called "peacekeeping" actions. The imperialistic tendencies of what was once the United States have been passed on to its successor, and thin excuses regarding "international peacekeeping agreements" will do nothing to dispel our opinions concerning their government's lust for land.
Diplomatic discussions have been initiated between our office of foreign affairs and the Pacifican Alliance. The results of these talks will be announced at their conclusion.
As of this writing, we are indifferent towards the situations in the E.F. and the U.P.

Interview with a Spokesman from The United Provinces of Scandinavia on recent Work events! [Live!]
So Mr.Fenicas what is the current standpoint on the events happening in the Union?
"The UP government agrees that the Union forces should be moved out of Columbia. If troops are getting shot at and killed during peace keeping attempts then this is not peace keeping. It is simply more violence on top of more violence. However, if the Union were to re-think how it were to go about its Peace Keeping duties we would be more than happy to change our minds and even help out were we can."
Recent there have been some increased fighting in England, how does the government feel about that?
"All people of a nation should have the right to be part of any government they want. The UP agrees with the acts going on in Brittany but will not give any more interaction one side or the other."
How about the events back home?
"Greenland has been an independent nation before and it shall be again for the right reasons. The UP is a group of nations founded on freedom and democracy. Colony's represent imperialism and there forthcoming. Greenland has as much right to become and independent nation so long as it remains in the UP, this is a union of nations we stand together. All this talk of Denmark seceding due to an incident like this is absurd! Democracy will vote on if Greenland will come in to the UP as its own nation. Denmark will have to deal with the outcome, its just a small island am I right? *chuckles form the audience*"
Yes yes Mr.Fenica, now. Over in the east local insurgents have been getting state of the art weaponry? Its a clear problem, what has the UP been talking about?
"Its is a situation we are looking into Bill, I'm sure once more information becomes available to us the people will be told. As of now all I can say is that our Intelligence agents are looking into it."
Well it looks like our time is up! It was great having you here Mr.Fenica, thank you for your time. Alright ladies and gentlemen when we come back...a man believes his dogs are out to take over the world, wait till you here about this.

A message from the Prime Minister of the Pacifican Alliance spoke today on foreign policy.
"Recent relations with the Russian Federation have improved. We have strengthened the bond between nations with increased movement of resources through trade. Access to arms for the sake of defense has been granted, and military threats from the Pan-Asian people are not to be tolerated. We do not want war, we want safety for our collective peoples."

((So, what, do we wait for Dea to post another set of events, or do we do our own thing from here?))
I institute new legislature to begin bringing manufacturing jobs back to the Union, rather than relying on outside sources, such as companies based in Pan-Asia. New stimulus plans will give tax deductions to companies who build factories in the Union, and give jobs to citizens.

Union Results #1: Although the Union did not completely withdraw support for peacekeeping options, in the eyes of conservatives within the Union of the Americas, it may as well have. Conservatives rally against the government, calling for increased overseas presence and intervention in military conflicts abroad. While Liberals and centralists largely support the withdraw of mass-deployments, conservative support for the government bottoms out. Many even call for the sundering of the union The United Kingdom fiercely rebuffs American diplomatic efforts, turning instead to it's primary ally in The Pacifican Alliance, in addition to it's ally in West Africa for assistance in resisting Union pressure. The measure is largely successful. Months Later, the occupation ends but only after the death toll nears 200. The region is still closely watched by Royal Armed forces today. The economic stimulus generally effects the waning economy in a positive way, though the plans seem to be progressing slowly. No effect for non-intervention in Greenland A military official involved with the Union assistance to Pacifica reveals the deal to the Media. Which quickly pounces on the opportunity to smear the government. The assistance is looked, by the American people and by the world as the Union propping up yet another failing regime. This brings economic embargoes by the Pan-Asian Republic and The Central Asian Republic. Pacifican Alliance Results #1: While the efforts to crush the rebellious forces with Kiwi and Aussie military units is largely successful, a single region which saw too-few forces to be effective manages to break away. Before forces can be mobilized, the Arab Republic and Pan-Asian Republic recognize the new State of Tamil, further military actions risk an international incident. The Russo-Pacifican is largely successful and the Pan-Asian Republic backs down quietly, it's forces still lying in wait on the border. Russian Federation Results #1 Russian forces manage to secure the upper-caucus region, however the insurgents with the support of Transcaucasia and The C.A.R. Manage to secure a small slice of territory, which is rapidly incorporated into Transcaucasia. While some neutral nations denounce this act of aggression, specifically Switzerland and West Ireland. The Arab republic supports independence for the largely Muslim population and threatens military intervention if any campaign to retake the region is launched. U.P. Results #1 The comment made by the U.P. Representative increases tension between the Union and U.P., which ends with the conclusion of military shipments to Scandinavia. Which, at current stages will leave a significant portion of them military under-equipped. No impact by the comment on Wales With the threat of a referendum on the issue, the province of Jylland in Denmark secedes as a sovereign and independent state. The rest of Denmark looks to be heading in the same direction.

The creation of the independent state of Tamil is a surprise to the Pacifican people, especially after successful military campaigns in the region. Even more surprising is the support from the Arab and Pan-Asian people. Since military force would be very unwise, the Pacifican government will attempt negotiations with the rebels to incorporate them back into the Alliance.

((Post that shit concerning our country stats too, Dea.)) >Continue stimulus package at a larger scale >Continue giving aid to Pacifica, in the form of more drones and armaments {Secret}Continue providing armaments to militant rebel groups willing to go against the Russian Federation, and arm dissident factions in Pan-Asia as well, again through an extremely convoluted system of proxies and black market arms dealers. >Move two aircraft carriers into the waters near Gran Columbia, and begin running missions to pick up the slack as peacekeeping infantry withdraw. Send a brigade of battleships and cruisers to support each one. Oh, and an American diplomat roundhouse kicks a British diplomat on live television.
