In the beginning, there were the gods. The first gods were all benevolent and wise, and would seek only to create. They created universes, galaxies, planets, stars, magic and science. They created beings, both mortal and immortal, to worship them for all the good they had created. And when they decided that they had ruled long enough, they created their immortal heirs, and stepped down from the reigns of the universe. The second generation of gods, however, was flawed. They became greedy, and waged war. From the ashes, a handful of gods rose up and conquered the metaphysical realms. They became known as the Old Gods. However, most of their actions and works have faded into legend, their feats and names lost in translation and superstition.
Las'her
Las'her was the cruel and vindictive father of To'ol, Shez and S'fere. His origins are not known, and the reasons for him creating the realm of Ah'pol'oh are shrouded in mystery and legend. Though he was known for his immense cruelty to everyone, Las'her had loyal allies in the form of the old gods, such as Jesu-Battul and Kar'sten. However, most suffered under his rule, and when his three sons rose up against him, the realms also joined the cause. Las'her was furious, and sent massive armies to destroy all who opposed him, but it was not enough. After a long and bloody war, the sons of Las'her imprisoned him for all eternity... or so they thought. After several millenia, the old gods returned from exile and collaborated to free their master from his prison. Las'her swore vengeance against his treacherous sons and their spawn, and set to creating a new realm of Ah'pol'oh. This new realm was no more than a pitiful shadow of what it once was, and some of his servants lost faith in him. Kar'sten went on to form his own realm, Mol'on'tin. However, Las'her began gathering armies of darkness and eventually declared war on Aur'hora. He began using a new, mystical superweapon, known only as Dee-dee-oh-ess. With it, he attempted to tear apart the fabric of reality holding Aur'hora together, but the gods and demigods were able to resist. His forces depleted, Las'her was forced to retreat, though he still makes incursions with small armies on the borders of Aur'hora, and still occasionally uses his superweapon in an attempt to sow discord.
To'ol
To'ol was the firstborn son of Las'her. The oldest and wisest among his brothers S'fere and Shez, he often accompanied them and advised them as they thought up plots and plans. When he and his brothers came of age, they decided to ally themselves against their cruel father and imprison him for all eternity. In doing so, they unwittingly destroyed the old realm of Ah'pol'oh. Grief-stricken, To'ol immediately set to creating a new realm, Aur'hora. He fashioned this new realm so that all would be content, and it would be in a state of eternal utopia. However, it did not last. The mortals in the realm, although thankful at first for the peace and prosperity experienced by all, grew restless, and soon began warring amongst themselves, and even against the gods. To'ol then decided that he would have to fashion a new race of gods to restore order. The gods he created were thereafter known as his children. The first one he made, Ru'Sty, was a failure, corrupted completely by the power bestowed upon him. However, To'ol tried again, creating Tu'hee and Hell-fire. However, both of them were deemed failures, completely corrupted by the power given to them. Deeply saddened, To'ol condemned himself to exile in the far reaches of the outer planes of existence. He has not been seen since.
Shez
Shez was the second son of Las'her, and was close to both of his brothers, To'ol and S'fere. It was he who originally came up with the plan to overthrow their father, and gained the support of both of his brothers. Though saddened by the destruction of the old realm Ah'pol'oh, he saw an opportunity to start anew. He led his brothers in the creation of their new realms, Aur'hora. While To'ol created the physical and metaphysical realms, Shez was the one who recreated the races of mortals who had been destroyed along with the old realms. However, since the mortals were originally created by Las'her, they were flawed, and therefore the era of peace and prosperity came to an end as they began to wage war, against each other and even against the gods. To'ol attempted to remedy the situation by creating his children, but they failed. Shez was saddened when To'ol went into exile. He decided to have his brother S'fere create a race of demigods, rather than true gods, to govern the mortals and prevent conflicts. Although some were also corrupted by power, most of them performed their duties honorably and a new era of peace reigned. This ended when their father, Las'her, broke free of his eternal prison, swearing vengeance against his traitorous sons. Shez realized that he was too worn out to wage war with his father, and so decided to give up his position of power to his younger brother, S'fere.
S'fere
S'fere was the youngest son of Las'her. He aided his brothers in overthrowing the father and in establishing the new realm of Aur'hora. When Shez called upon him to create a race of demigods, he saw what To'ol had done and decided to learn from it. The first ones he made, S'kul and Gol'ee, were considered extremely successful. He followed up his success by creating Nit'mahr, Ya'kris and Dan'ma. He made sure not to gift the demigods with too much power, so as to avoid corrupting them like Ru'Sty and the others To'ol had made. After they had proven themselves worthy and had learned moderation, S'fere gave them more power and control over the realms. Together, they brought about a new era of peace and prosperity to Aur'hora. Then Las'her declared war. Shez gave full control of the realm over to S'fere, who by this time was an expert military commander. He and his children countered the incursions made by Las'her and even managed to resist his superweapon. The war never officially ended, but it did die down considerably. Though successful for the most part, waging war had caused S'fere to grow weary. He decided to create a new god to take his place, and named him Su'ub. Though he no longer has full control, S'fere still holds considerable power and is respected by his children.
Ru'Sty the Mad
Ru'Sty the Shackle-ford was the firstborn of To'ol. He was gifted with immense power by his father, given the ability to manipulate the minds of mortals and tasked with preventing belligerent mortals from challenging the power of the gods. However, Ru'Sty soon went mad from the immense power at his fingertips, banishing mortals from existence left and right, and causing infertility and strife for his own amusement. To'ol cast him down from his lofty position into the neatherrealms. With help from his brother Tu'hee, Ru'Sty promptly conquered these realms and named them as his own. Having learned the ways of the tentacles through Tu'hee, Ru'Sty reigned with an iron fist in his realms of Madness. He still had enough power to make incursions into the mortal realms and sow discord for his own amusement, though at a much smaller scale than before. Taking a page from the book of Hell-fire, Ru'Sty also became known for his rampant debauchery and unusual sexual appetite. Somehow Ru'Sty had a son of his own, and named him Fer'crai. He showed him the ways of debauchery, but Fer'crai escaped from the neatherrealms, leaving Ru'Sty behind. Though trapped, Ru'Sty still remains relevant in Pantheon politics. When the other gods require someoneone to carry out cruel and unusual punishment against mortals who have committed grievous crimes, they open the gates to the netherrealms and allow the Mad One to overwhelm them. Ru'Sty serves as a warning to all, mortal and immortal, about the corrupting influence of power. He is the most feared child of To'ol, and has many names, such as the Tentacle King, Lord of Depraved Sex, and the Mad One. Mortals often tell their children that Ru'Sty will come and snatch them away in the night if they do not obey.
Tu'hee
Tu'hee was the second son of To'ol. He was given an amount of power similar to Ru'Sty, and it had similar effects upon him. He sprouted large, slimy tentacles from every part of his body until his appearance was nothing more than a writhing mass of tentacles. He helped his brother Ru'Sty conquer the netherrealms, and taught him the art of the tentacle. Though Ru'Sty superceded him as the Tentacle King, Tu'hee is still recognized as the god of tentacles. It is said that if you were to peer behind his tentacles and see his face, you would become as mad as Ru'Sty.
Hell-fire the Jaeg
Hell-fire was the youngest son of To'ol. The power given to him by his father corrupted him like his brothers. He became obsessed with sexual intercourse, and did nothing but engage in various forms of intercourse with multiple partners of various species and genders. To'ol banished Hell-fire to the edges of existence when he learned of this. Ru'Sty eventually superceded him as the Lord of Depraved Sex, but Hell-fire is still recognized as the original god of the act.
S'kul
S'kul was the first son of S'fere, the first of a race of demigods created to govern the realm of Aur'hora. Concieved with an industrious spirit, S'kul immediately set to work improving the realms. Together, he and the other demigods brough about an era of prosperity, and successfully defended the realm against the onslaught of Las'her. He was granted more power by S'fere, and has since become a true god. He never rests, constantly working to find ways to improve life for everyone within Aur'hora, both mortal and immortal.
Gol'ee
Gol'ee was the second son of S'fere, and the second demigod created to bring order to Aur'hora. He was gifted with the pen and paper, and became renowned throughout the realms as the greatest storyteller to have ever existed. Gol'ee had the ability to spin engaging yarns about any subject, and wrote many books on almost every subject imaginable. There is a society of monks on the edges of Aur'hora that is devoted to collecting knowledge and preserving the works of Gol'ee. To them, he is known as The Loremaster. Gol'ee eventually decided that he had spent enough time as a demigod, and asked his brother S'kul to make him mortal. S'kul obliged, and Gol'ee now lives among the mortals, creating great works of literature. Gol'ee has a pet orangutan that he named Eragong.
Ya'kris
Ya'kris was the third son of S'fere. He became known for his sharp tongue and strong wit. He also studied under his brother Gol'ee, and became a great poet, the greatest that had ever existed. Ya'kris is also known for his swiftness. It is said that he can outpace rays of sunlight on foot, and that nobody can defeat him in a race. He assisted in bringing order to the realms of Aur'hora, and in the defense against Las'her. He was awarded with more power by his father, and became a true god.
Vik'Ing
Another demigod created by S'fere, Vik'Ing was obsessed with the stars. He spent any time he had fashioning new stars to shine in the skies above Aur'hora. When a star fell from the sky, he would be there to catch it before it hit the ground. His worshippers dedicated massive observatories to him, and mapped out the night skies. Vik'Ing was made a true god for his role in defending Aur'hora.
Fa'eeth the Skirata
Fa'eeth was a demigod created by S'fere. He was fascinated by emotions, and had mortals under him spend their time studying the human psyche. Fa'eeth also greatly enjoyed the theater. His worshippers wrote and commissioned wonderful plays to honor him. However, Fa'eeth soon grew dissatisfied, and went off to the edges of existence to find new horizons.
Nit'mahr
Nit'mahr was the youngest son of S'fere, created to bring order to Aur'hora, along with his older brothers. He is the lord of darkness, and it is he who brings it every night and covers the land with it. Nit'mahr is often misunderstood and feared because of this. Though he brings darkness, he is not evil. But because mortals fear darkness, they fear Nit'mahr. Nit'mahr assisted in the defense of Aur'hora against Las'her by shrouding his own armies in darkness to hide them from the enemy, allowing them to sneak up from behind and make surprise attacks. Nit'mahr was granted full godhood by his father S'fere after the conflict.
Fer'crai
Fer'crai was the son of Ru'Sty, concieved through unnatural means. His father showed him the ways of debauchery, but Fer'crai soon grew dissatisfied, and through trickery, managed to escape the netherrealms. He is not a true god, but does have immortality. He is notorious for his sleight of hand, and his clever feats of trickery are known throughout the realms. Fer'crai was known for having relations with many mortal women, and concieved many children with mortals. These children were graced with limited immortality, and some unusual powers. They also all have a mental bridge to the mind of Ru'Sty.
Neeko-lie the Beast
Neeko-lie was the first son of Fer'crai. He was born to a mortal woman, but possessed limited immortality. He also has the uncanny ability to steal any object that he can think of. Of course, this led to some trouble with the law, but he was able to escape prison, and now lives as an outlaw among the mortals. Though at first susceptible to the suggestions of Ru'Sty, he has learned to resist his power over time.
Ruh-buht-eek
Ruh-buht-eek was the second son of Fer'crai, born to a different mortal woman than Neeko-lie. He was driven mad by his connection to Ru'Sty, and now tries to emulate the Mad One in mortal form. He was promply placed into an asylum to prevent him from harming himself and society.
Me'Ow
Me'Ow was the first daughter of Fer'crai, the third child concieved to a mortal woman. The god S'fere took notice of her for her immense beauty, and blessed her with full immortality. S'fere has since taken great interest in her, and rumors get around. She was nearly driven mad by her connection to Ru'Sty, but has since learned to resist his suggestions.
Meg'po'el
Meg'po'el was the second daughter of Fer'crai, born to a mortal woman. Along with her pseudo-immortality, she was graced with the ability to create magnificent works of art. She earned acclaim throughout the mortal realms, drawing crowds of people from near and far to marvel at her works. Ru'Sty decided against attempting to drive her insane after she created a work of art as tribute to him.
Cu'Vert the Odd
Cu'Vert was a son of Fer'Crai. However, he was the only one who was not born to a mortal woman. Instead, he was concieved with a half-immortal Amazon. As a result, Cu'Vert was born with full immortality and more powers than his brothers or sisters. He became a master of stealth and took work as an assassin and thief. One day he managed to anger the god Su'ub, but by utilizing his skills, he was able to outwit the god. By the time Su'ub finally caught him, he was more impressed than angry, and decided to elevate Cu'Vert to the status of demigod as a reward. Cu'Vert serves as a spy and messenger for the gods. No mortals have ever seen his face, so great is his skill. He was the last demigod to be created.
Sam-ack
Sam-ack was another son of Fer'crai. Born with an adventurous spirit, he set out at a young age to find fame and glory in undiscovered lands. He returned with lost treasures and fabulous stories of cannibalistic savages and endless oceans. After settling down, he decided to turn to mapmaking, so that he could show people where events in his life happened. Blessed with a perfect memory, he painstakingly drew up maps of foreign lands, accurate to the centimeter. His services came to be in high demand, and Sam-ack's maps guided men who were seeking to establish new settlements and colonies.
Om'ni-vac
Om'ni-vac was a half-immortal son of Fer'crai. His special ability was to have other people's opinions of him remain completely neutral.
Ell'kay
Ell'kay was another son of Fer'crai. His power was being able to influence the minds of women so that they would engage in homosexual intercourse right before his very eyes. It is needless to say that Ru'Sty was very pleased by this.
Vohl-taj the Anti-Hero
Vohl-taj was the youngest son of Fer'crai, born to a mortal woman. However, the woman came from a rather inbred family line, and Vohl-taj came out slightly retarded. In addition to his pseudo-immortality, he has the uncanny ability to annoy the living hell out of anyone nearby. He is at odds with Ru'Sty, who finds him completely insufferable. To be fair, pretty much everyone finds Vohl-taj completely insufferable.
Su'ub the Digital
Su'ub was the last true god to ever be created. He was concieved by S'fere as his replacement as Lord of Aur'hora. Though young, he has so far proven himself to be a capable leader. However, only time will tell.
Shu'doh the Daemon
Nobody knows who or what Shu'doh really is. His name has faded into legend. There are rumors that it is he who holds the universe together, going around in darkness and repairing tears in reality. However, nobody truly knows. Some mortals isolated from society have established small cults worshipping Shu'doh, and he is known to them as The Daemon. It is rumored that only Ru'Sty knows the truth, but that his twisted mind was the only one that could handle it.
Dan'ma the Cruel
Dan'ma was the final demigod created by S'fere. Unlike his brothers, however, he was cruel and vindictive, and abused his power. He was constantly at odds with the other gods. Eventually, S'fere stripped him of his power. Furious, he went into exile, vowing to one day return for revenge. He has not been seen since.
Jesu-Battul
Jesu-Battul was one of the original gods of old Ah'pol'oh. He was bound to Las'her by honor, and assisted in freeing him from his prison. He resides with Las'her in the new realms of Ah'pol'oh. He was a god of war.
Kar'sten the Colonel
Kar'sten was one of the original gods of old Ah'pol'oh. He assisted in freeing his master Las'her, but soon decided that he was better off without him. He went on to establish the realm of Mol'on'tin. He was a god of war.
Nah-pol-ee-hun
Nah-pol-ee-hun was a demigod created by Las'her. He was created after To'ol, Shez and S'fere, as a servant to Las'her. He attempted to come to Aur'hora and assimilate, but he eventually went back to the new Ah'pol'oh. He returned to the realms of Aur'hora with a legion from Ah'pol'oh to sow grief and discord. So Yah'kris smote him and cast him back into the realm of Ah'pol'oh.
Flare of Neb'lahh
The origin of Neb'lahh is unknown, as she is a goddess of mystery. Many believe she was of mortal birth, others say she was born from a fallen star. Some theorize that she existed during old Ah'pol'oh, and may have taken part in the old war. In either case, her role was to guide warriors to victory, holding steadfast to honor and virtue. She walks as a mortal within the realm of Aur'hora, but still sends messages of warning to the gods, when trouble begins to take root. She traverse the realms of the universe, and holds moderate power within Mol'on'tin, assisting Kar'sten in guarding the realm.
Las'her
Las'her was the cruel and vindictive father of To'ol, Shez and S'fere.
